We started cutting milo the end of last week. Today my farmer man is racing against the weather. We were waiting for the moisture to go down in the grain, so we could cut. Now we’re hoping to get the most of it cut before the weather changes. We’re supposed to get rain tonight, with the forecast for the next couple of days including wintry mix and snow/sleet and a high of 29 degrees on Friday. BRRRR. The end of November is edging up on us, though, so I suppose we can’t escape the cold completely.
My parents and niece have been visiting us, so they were able to get in on milo harvest. It’s always fun to have them here. And it’s always a little sad when it’s time for them to leave. Even after all the many times we’ve gone back and forth. Grateful we can travel!
Love that photo of the milo – you should use some to do fall decorating!
So fun to see the pic of Mom and Dad too!
