That’s the question!!! And, the title of this book from singer-songwriter, Ellie Holcomb.
Children’s picture books continue to grow as a favorite of mine and this one is pretty sweet.
I love to read book dedications and I particularly smiled at this one.
This book rhymes! {Always Bonus Points}
And the illustrations are gorgeous and amazing.
I especially love this one of the reflection of the elephants and the children running through the water.
If you love picture books and music, you may want to snag a copy of this book! 🙂
{Thanks to Lifeway/B&H for sharing it with me to review}
Talking about music, I have this dvd designed specifically for children to share with you too.
Here’s a a description I received about the dvd, as well as the heart of Hillsong for touching children:
“Can You Believe It!? – Songs of Truth” is both a question and a challenge… a statement of gratitude to a loving God and an invitation to explore the very foundations of faith. Classic songs like “My Best Friend”, “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” and “What A Beautiful Name” join brand new declarations of faith such as “As The World Shakes” & “Heaven Is Our Home”. We pray that this collection of fun and vibrant songs, help children around the world to declare biblical truths about God’s love and grace for them.”
“Hillsong believes that teaching children to love God and others takes place in both the home and in the church. For this reason they seek to partner with parents (the greatest teachers of all!) and with church pastors and leaders, equipping them with great resources. Through fun experiences, meaningful music and ministry that encourages kids to participate, Hillsong Kids presents Jesus Christ and His Church in a relevant way, creating moments which children will never forget.”
“What a Beautiful Name” and “Heaven is Our Home” are both favorite songs of mine. The dvd is definitely geared for children with lively videos and some slapstick humor as Funny Man Dan chats in the studio throughout the dvd.
{Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC for providing this dvd for review. I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post.}
And one more children’s book I recently stumbled across.
Alice listens to her grandpa’s stories and she tells him when she grows up she too, will travel to faraway places and when she is old she will live by the sea.
Her grandfather tells her she must do a third thing as well, and this thing is to do something to make the world more beautiful.
Alice says she will, although she doesn’t know yet what it will be.
The pictures and story are charming and wonderful and engaging.
Alice grows up and she gets to go to faraway places and live out all the three things. Alice is old now and she is a great-aunt and she passes her three things, especially the task of making the world more beautiful on to her great-niece.
I’m so glad I discovered this book!
What favorites for children do you love?
