Look at these beautiful journals! I have three to show you today.
These journals are from Ellie Claire Gifts at Worthy Publishing.
Let’s look inside The Illustrated Word journal first. I love the orange binding on the spine.
This journal is also a museum of the Bible book.
Here’s what the back of the journal says:
“Just as medieval monks brought Scripture to life through intricate handwritten and illustrated manuscripts hundreds of years ago, you can now create your own keepsake to be treasured for years to come. Forty illustrations have been recreated as line drawings to color. Full-color illustrations from the Museum of the Bible make this journal a true masterpiece.”
This journal has a vintage look and is full of beautiful pictures packed with details to color.
The pages have a thick paper texture and make me think a little of old books.
The journal tells where each illustration comes from at the bottom of one of the pages associated with it.
Isn’t the cover lovely?
Next up.
The Faith & Lettering Journal.
This one is my personal favorite of the three. I love the colors and all the variety of pages it contains. Plus, I really enjoy handlettering and handwriting.
The spine has a stretchy elastic band at the top for you to slide a pencil or pen in.
Here’s the inside page with a beautiful To and From to fill in.
There are pages with quotes to letter. First, you can trace the words and then you have several practice columns.
There are pages with some different styles of letters to learn and practice.
And scattered within are pages with beautiful artwork.
Ribbons and banners to practice!
And journaling or bullet pages with quotes or verses in the corner.
Doodles to add a fun touch!
Here’s a bit of an excerpt on how to use this book:
“There are many ways to incorporate hand-lettering into your life, spiritually and practically. The purpose of this journal is to inspire you to reignite your devotional time, to imprint Scripture upon your heart, and to help you dig deep into the Word of God through the art of lettering.”
Krystal Whitten has a book Faith & Lettering that is an inspirational guide to creative lettering & journaling which then inspired the creation of this journal. The two would be a great set!
Our third journal today is Illuminate Your Story.
This page gives you suggestions for supplies that work well and ideas for how to use the journal.
The journal is full of gorgeous letters and styling and step-by-step instructions to create the letters.
The other two journals are larger in size while this one is the size of a normal journal. A fun detail ~ it has a stretchy teal elastic band to hold it closed. All three journals are hardcover.
This page contains step-by-step for sketching flourishes.
In between the letter pages, there are lined pages. They contain a great quote at the top and offer a place to jot your favorite verses or journal.
There’s a pocket in the back for tucking in keepsakes. Isn’t it so pretty?!
If you could only choose ONE of these three journals, which one would you go with?
They are all beautiful and I was delighted to get to review them. They each have fun features and special things about them.
They would make lovely gifts and they are wonderful for anyone who likes to journal and/or letter.
