What does it mean?
When you have….
shoes piled high on the shoe rack, keeping as many up off the floor as possible…
the bottom rungs of the drying rack, empty, no clothes hung there to dry, and pieces of string and material strung across the floor…
the doors to the office and bathroom tightly closed…{and remember to keep them that way}…
a bowl of water by the table leg and a messy basement floor…
an old throw pillow and numerous old socks strewn around…everything in the vicinity has become open game for chewing and chewing and chewing…
What does it mean?
It means there’s a pup about the house. About the basement anyway. A cute, little puppy who is growing fast and losing some of the cuteness and starting to become a little more annoying and not quite as charming. {To the parents of this family.} Especially as the chewing on EVERYTHING increases and the nosing into places and the general acting like a puppy dog!
Yep, a cute little puppy dog named Cooper, who is going to start learning to be a big outside puppy this week! Hooray! It will be so fun! {Cooper and his young owners don’t quite agree.} But the weather is warmer this week and the basement is cleaner with an outside puppy and it is easier to go up and down the stairs without having to climb over a barricade every time you want to enter or exit and it is time.
Here’s hoping many adventures await for Cooper and Co!

So cute!!!! My kids want a puppy but I just can’t do it. Two cats is plenty for me!
If we weren’t in the country, I’m not sure we’d have one either. We usually have farm cats around and I like having them to help keep the mice population at bay. My kids love the cats too, especially the kittens.
So cute! And I applaud you for putting up with it in your basement as long as you have!!!! Not sure I could handle it but when I really think about it I know I would cause I’ve about given in to bringing the cat inside for awhile when it is so terribly cold outside. (don’t tell my kids I said that though)
When we brought him home, he was still such a baby and so cute! 🙂 He’d just sit down at the bottom of the steps when we went up and then whine for the kids. Didn’t take him long to grow and figure out how to come UP the steps. Once he started chewing everything, it was time to start thinking about moving out.
The kids have had a lot of fun with him in the basement and it was really cold out. I won’t mind having the basement back though.
Cooper is sure a CUTE puppy! But I agree that outside is where he belongs. Don’t think I could have put up with him inside. (You remember that pets were NEVER allowed in the house!?) But kudos to you for having him inside while it was so cold and he was so little.:)
I remember having kittens and a puppy right inside the patio door on the rug on a couple of occasions! 🙂
I didn’t mind Cooper in the basement too much. The layout of our house is good that way. He was starting to chew a LOT and he does smell rather doggish.
Hi Deborah! Cooper is adorable. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment on my Touch of Gold Easter Eggs. My daughter loved using the Sharpie on the eggs, and I’m sure yours would too. I hope you’ll visit again soon. Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Nici
Thanks for popping in here too! 🙂
So cute….and so destructive. I’ll bet he’ll head into the house at every opportunity since he’s been loved on there!
You are exactly right! He is very good at coming in the door and we didn’t even realize he was around. A little Houdini! 🙂
