One thing that I think Kansas is very good at, is the ability to produce quite a thunderstorm! We had one pass through the other evening. These pictures don’t do justice to God’s handiwork at all, but I still enjoyed taking a few. And we enjoyed standing on our new porch as we watched part of the storm.
We were and are very thankful for the rain! After our hot, dry summer last year we are appreciating every drop we get. And in this case, the inch and a half that we got. 🙂
This was the view the next morning…
Psalm 19:1
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship.
Something about the awesomeness of a thunderstorm always draws my mind to the awesomeness of God and the wonder of His creation. The verse above often pops into my mind when the thunder is rumbling. God’s heavens certainly do proclaim His glory. Glory be to God!
What a view from the front porch! Love thunderstorms.
Thunderstorms are something we don’t get too much of–how I love each moment when they do come! Your place is looking lovely, by the way 🙂
I love those thunderstorms too. As long as they are not dangerous of course! And they are SO much better in Kansas than Ohio.
Love your porch! Travis is on the other computer saying he likes them too! And he’s wondering if you are going to go with a white house and trim it in grey? It’s been fun to see him reading our blogs – he does it much more frequently than he used to 🙂
Wow! I so love to watch storms, and hear the booming of thunder 🙂
