Do you remember the excitement of being a kid and having the thrill of playing or doing something fun or new?
I have some really fun photos of my youngest niece when she was here at Christmastime. We played some games one evening and we played Chicky-Boom. It was new to her and she loved it. You just never know when the chickens are going to go boom. It adds a mysterious anticipation!
I remember coming to Kansas to visit my aunt and playing a game called Tommy Tummyache. We loved it! It was a balance game too. You “fed” Tommy foods, until it became too heavy and tipped. I don’t remember specifically how the game was made, but I do remember loving to choose whether to give him a cupcake or a hot dog or cookies or one of the other numerous foods.
I also remember one of my cousins in Ohio having the game, Don’t Spill the Beans. It was exciting too! There’s that feeling you get in the bottom of your stomach whenever it’s your turn and you wonder if you’ll make it through!
A few years ago, one of Renae’s aunts gave her the game Kerplunk. It was great fun too. I’d never heard of it. We really enjoyed it, but over time some of the sticks and marbles got lost. I think it got played with as more than just a game of Kerplunk. I wouldn’t mind adding a complete one back to our game cupboard sometime.
Anyway, I digress into reminiscing about games that spill. Here are the fun and funny photos!
And a shot of her holding her Uno cards!
I love all the expressions! It makes me laugh just to look at the pictures. It was fun to hear her giggle. Plus, she can make herself laugh which is totally hilarious. One of my good friends is also a pro at that. I can’t really claim it as a talent of mine, but I love listening to other people and laughing myself because they’re laughing.
What are some of the exciting games lurking in your game cupboard? Share with me, so I can be intrigued.

Oh my, I love her facial expressions. Just priceless!!!
I know! They’re the best!
Love, love, love it! Those expressions are priceless!! I can just hear those giggles.
I agree! Definitely priceless!
Oh, sweet Becca – your smile brings me joy! My boys’ laughter makes me laugh every time, especially my younger two. One of my favorite games growing up was Perfection. I didn’t own it but my friend did…I think she got sick of me playing it π
Hmmm, I have not heard of that game. Sounds interesting.
Isn’t it funny how that works? When you’re used to a game or toy it isn’t nearly as intriguing to you as to the friend who is visiting!
I love it! She is so funny π She giggled seeing her pics here!
I love it too!
So cute. I can hear that giggle from here π
She’s so much fun! Plus she’s the baby of my side of the family. π
Have you ever played Tenzi?
I love those pictures – oh, and the double toothed gap is one of my favorite childhood phases! Kills me!

Tenzi is new to me too. I will have to peruse the game section on Amazon.
I love the top-teeth-missing look too. There’s something so cute about it!
