Ten on Tuesday.
Category: Ten Things I’m Curious About
Linking up with Carole ~
Well, I guess NO. 1 is THE DEFINITION OF CURIOUS.
I admit, I went and looked it up. I thought “If I’m going to write about things I’m curious about, I want to see what Webster says it means.” I’m funny with words. I know them. I use them. I “know” what they mean. But if I need to rattle off a definition or explanation of what a word means exactly, well, I don’t always feel so hot at explaining or defining it.
By the way, here’s what it means, in case you are CURIOUS too, and don’t want to go look it up. Well, there’s more than one definition and usage of the word, but here’s the definition I’m using today.
Curious: Eager to know or learn something.
On to NO. 2. Knitting a sweater. I’m wanting to give it a try. Hopefully this year! And I’m quite curious to know how it will turn out. I have a lot of mixed feelings, questions and opinions in my head about taking this on. And I’d say let’s just ramp the Curious up from “Quite Curious” to “Pretty much loads and loads of Curiosity” about what will happen!
NO. 3 ……….
I’m eager to keep trying my hand at pretty Pie creations! They definitely peak my curiosity!
On to NO. 4 ~
I’m curious about kitchen knives. I’d like to feel very expert and accomplished about knowing what type of knife for each kitchen task. I’m honestly rather leary around knives. Probably because I seem prone to cut myself.
For NO. 5, I’m curious about crocheting. I keep tossing the idea around to try learning. But I like my knitting. And I just continue with it. {Plus, sometimes I avoid NEEDING TO USE BRAIN POWER.}
NO. 6
Photography. I’m curious about sharpening my skills in lighting and settings on my camera. Practice! Practice! Practice!
NO. 7 is a question. I’m curious to know what you are curious about? What’s popped into your head since you started reading my list?
NO. 8 Ok! Here’s another question! Just for fun! I’m curious. Do you have a normal time you try to go to bed at night?
NO. 9
Right now, I’m curious to know if my tomato plants are going to produce. I’m hoping so because I want to make salsa.
And for NO. 10…………..
I’m very curious to hear about my daughter’s adventures from her trip! I know she’s having a great time.
How’s that for a very interesting and curious list?!
{This usage of curious would bring me to a second definition of curious. CURIOUS: strange, unusual. In case you were wondering about a second definition and didn’t want to have to look it up.}
Over and Out.
Great list! And, I think I can help you with your knife curiosity – there is a free Craftsy class on using knives – what knife to use for what and how to use it safely!
Oh, thank-you! I’ve thought I should search Youtube because I know there would be videos out there. I just haven’t ever taken the time to do it. 🙂
Tomatoes! Always curious if this year’s crop will be a big one!! Good luck with yours.
Exactly!!! Thank-you, Beth!
When I first learned to knit, I thought I would start small with mittens and my aunt (a lifelong knitter who learned from her mom) told me that it was much easier to knit a sweater. In a way, she was right. So don’t be put off by the size – it’s a lot of knitting, but it’s not too hard.
Oh, thank-you so much for sharing these words of wisdom! 🙂
That encourages me.
I have tried both knitting and crocheting and I think crochet is so much easier and faster!
That’s fun to know!
