Ok. A list of ten gifts found at the grooocerrrryyyyy!!
Linking up with Carole ~
Fun, fun.
1. Cheese and crackers. I totally love appetizer foods and I love how food gift baskets look. So, basically my whole list of ten could just be different combinations of food baskets. 🙂 BUT, cheese! Buy cubes of cheese. Buy blocks of cheese and cube them yourself and package them. Buy string cheese and remove from the bag and tie all the sticks together in a pretty bundle. Enter RIBBON!!! *drumroll* OR do a combination of all three. A chunk of cheese. Cubes and sticks! Pick out some yummy, crunchy crackers and you are good to go! My kids love Chicken in a Biscuit crackers.
2. Fruit Baskets of course! This time of year they are always available at the grocery and they are so pretty. I often got one for one of my Grandmas at Christmastime.
3. Gift cards. Our Dillons has a wide variety of gift cards. Much of the time when purchasing a gift card I get it there because it earns me fuel points to redeem at their gas station. Gift cards can seem like a can’t-think-of-anything-else gift, I suppose. BUT, I love it when I am GIVEN a gift card! It’s a free shopping pass, right?! 🙂 I truly do think they are a great gift. Restaurant gift cards are a terrific gift for your friends or family who you know like to eat out often.
4. Favorite foods. I’ve put together gifts before consisting of foods I knew that the gift recipient especially liked. For example, one of my brother-in-laws is a Dr. Pepper fan. He’s been gifted Dr. Pepper from us on more than one occasion.
5. English Toffee Cappuccino and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Done and done. {I’m stuck on this cappuccino right now!}
6. Coffee beans for the coffee cuisiniere or barista in your life!
7. A beautiful bottle of wine and a corkscrew bottle opener. Our groceries here in Kansas are actually fairly limited to what alcohol they can sell and we don’t have a big selection in our groceries like some places do.
8. For Kids ~ Grab a package of Capri Suns and a box of fruit-by-the-foot. If you want to leave them in the packages, grab a candy bar to put on top of the wrapped gift. I’m thinking gift box or basket once again. Pulling all the pudgy drink pouches out of the box and putting them in something with the fruit-by-the-foot scattered among them would be a fun-looking gift!
9. Breakfast in a box. I’ve done this before for birthday gifts. Grab a pineapple, a bottle of juice, some little donuts, and some breakfast burritos! Or make a breakfast casserole to add to the gift.
10. Munchie Mix. It is one of my favorite snack chips! I’d be all too happy to receive a big bag of Munchie Mix tied around the middle with a ribbon. You could even omit the ribbon if you didn’t have time. I wouldn’t care. 😉
WHAT ABOUT YOU? What would you grab at the grocery for a gift?

I have no idea what Munchie Mix is, but I’m intrigued and I’m going to try to find it at our grocery store. I’m hoping it’s a bit like Crunch N Munch. I love your multiple-items-in-a-box ideas, because I hadn’t thought of that at all. Putting together a themed box makes even the most ordinary grocery items seem special.
Munchie Mix is a combination of Harvest Cheddar Sunchips, Cheetos, Doritos and Rold Gold pretzels. The chips are bite size though, instead of normal size. It is delicious!! And the bag is red, so totally Christmasey looking. 🙂 🙂
Breakfast in a box – what a great idea!
Thanks! It’s fun to put together.
