Having a house to work on certainly adds to an already busy schedule….
It is fun to see a little progress and to start working on some of the things we want to do now and “someday”….
We tore out the carpet in the living room and on the stairway….
Everyone got involved…even Sprocket…
Sprocket thought it was grand to be able to go in and out of the house…
R&T thought it was fun to be able to cut and tear the carpet…
R&T didn’t think it was quite as fun to pull up staples that the carpet left behind…
The photographer-that’d be me-is so, so bad at taking “before” pictures…
There’s already quite a few “before” pictures that I should’ve taken…
What words of wisdom do you have about working on houses?!
Happy your kids are at an age to help you should see me painting with Zach & vivi….hee haw.
Did I mention I looooove hipped roofs?
Enjoy the process
Blessings
Kara
You definitely need to show us some pictures of your painting adventures with Zach and Vivi…I bet you could even turn it into a book! 🙂
It seems like the subject of hipped roofs and likes and dislikes has risen occasionally…I like them myself!!
I meant hipped roofs hee!
And I like the hipped roof too!!! Didja know that??
Looks to me like you have lovely linoleum floors now:) Did you know you can buy linoleum paint???? Maybe you don’t need new carpet after all – heehee!
I am never impressed with all the staples left behind either (insert face making)
Looks like you are making some progress!
oh and by the way – why are you getting a new front door??!!!!
Let’s see-you like old things, maybe you want the old front door?!! 😉
I don’t really want it but someone would! Get that kind of stuff on Craig’s List! You just might be pleasantly surprised;)
I think my husband is planning on keeping it as of now. They are good heavy doors, but are in terrible need of refinishing. I don’t really love, or even like, the diagonal window…
