Nisi Dominus Frusta=Latin for: Without the Lord, Frustration
.
My Bible doesn’t promise a pain-free, problem-free, pressure-free life.
But Jesus does give peace that passes understanding, a pouring out of hearts in prayer and protection walking through the valley.
.
He offers faith to face the fear.
Forgiveness for our folly.
Friendship when forsaken.
Contented fulfillment to combat creeping frustrations.
Soothing frayed nerves in the fretting.
.
Jesus fills.
.
Without = Frustration
Within = Found and Filled
.
My Jesus. My good, good Shepherd Friend. YOUR Shepherd and Savior!
.
Our Hope and Salvation in Him.
.
Psalm 94:19 ~ “When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
Jesus does indeed fill and to this end, I am delighted to share this giveaway, comprised of a few favorites.
I believe it deeply, yet fall into dark places some days.
I cling to Jesus alone, yet continue to remind myself of His faithfulness and ask Him to deepen my faith every single day He gives me.
Renae and I have both enjoyed having our own copies of the She Reads Truth Bible. {Find a more in-depth look inside in this post.}
It’s an extra detail I personally love, to add pretty Bible tabs to my Bible, so I’ve included a package of the Hope Bible tabs from the Etsy shop, ValBailey Designs. The colors and shape are so lovely.
I’ve listened to the Faithful CD countless times since the beginning of May. I talked about it in my April Musings post right here and included the video for the song, A Woman.
The book is encouraging and inspiring and hope-filled.
They are the other two items I’m bringing you for this giveaway.
Please enter below and have a very good week….perhaps with icy lemonade and a chance to read!
I love:
1 – warm weather
2 – going on long walks with my dogs
3 – BBQ ing
It all says summer! 🙂
Hello Deborah!!
Happy Summer to you! There are so many things I love about summer but these are at the top of the list:
1. Relaxing and enjoying lazy days with my boys. We homeschool so we are together everyday but come June it’s nice to sleep in and enjoy a slower pace gathering with friends and enjoying the pool.
2. Homemade lemonade and a lovely Christian romance that lets my mind just wander.
3. Afternoon thunderstorms. God puts on quite a show each day here in Florida. I just sit and close my eyes and enjoy the thunder.
I enjoy your blog so much-it was a nice treat to see the email this morn and to head on over here.
Blessings to you!!
Debbie
I enjoyed your list so much, Debbie. Lazy days, lemonade, swimming, and reading….so delightful!
Thank you so much for your kind words. I hope the rest of your summer is peaceful and lovely.
I love the warmer weather, my flowers and my cats enjoying it.
I love all the summer blooms! And we’ve had kittens who are so fun to watch. 🙂
Three things I love about summer are 1) wearing shorts, tanks, and sandals; 2) fresh vegetables and fruits of the season; and 3) windows open and fresh air.
Loved your list! I’ve been craving a BLT with a fresh tomato. Open windows are one of my very favorites.
Deborah,
I love the flowers, warmer weather, cookouts and picnics with family.
It’s such a fun and summery list! I hope your summer is fantastic.
I like the weather, frozen treats and backyard bbq gatherings.
