A good while back, clear back in the end of 2013, I shared a Style for the Season post. Several ladies went together and posted Winter/Christmas outfits. I enjoyed the post and have thought off and on, I’d do it again.
But haven’t. π
Recently, I’ve been putting some outfits together that I like, but then I’ll forget what I did. I thought to myself, “I should take pictures!! Then I’d remember.”
One reason I had this thought was because at Christmastime, I’d worn an outfit and had a couple pictures of my daughter and me. I knew I’d worn a certain scarf, but couldn’t remember what I put it with. Voila! I went and looked at the picture. On our recent vacation to Hatteras, same thing. I knew I’d layered a shirt, sweater and jacketΒ with one of my skirts, but couldn’t remember exactly which shirt. I went and looked at some pictures of my man and me and jogged my memory. Pictures are good that way!!
It’s hard to take pictures of myself with my Nikon, though. And phones or tablets don’t take quite as good ofΒ quality and taking selfies is rather of a pain nor my cup of tea. And I’d usually rather be the one with camera in hand. My daughter doesn’t mind snapping picturesΒ for me at all, but it does take some time and synchronizing schedules.
The other day we did it! She took some pictures for me and I’m putting together a style post.
I really like knit skirts. They are so comfy and there are some really, really cute styles and designs. I do struggle sometimes with what shirts/tops/sweaters to put with them, especially since most of them ARE prints instead of solid colors. I love jean jackets with knit skirts and that’s great for spring when it’s cool.
I have liked this combo that I created from shopping through my closet.
The skirt is one of my very favorites. The colors are summery, yet it works for fall or winter too.
I’ve long loved this sweater. It’s perfect for spring, but when temps start warming up much it gets a bit too warm. I have some lightweight sweaters I wear in the summertime and when I’m out and about, because I can get chilly in the air conditioning. I think restaurants, especially, are usually on the coolish side. This sweater though, while it is 3/4 sleeve, it is a heavier weight, so once our Kansas temps start climbing I don’t wear it. I have a lightweight gray and also a white sweater that I pair with this skirt also.
Go Make Memories and a tiny camera ~ necklace from Creative Carmella.
The skirt came from Target.
T-shirt is Lands End. {Can’t really even see it.}
I don’t remember for sure where I got the sweater.
Pink flip-flops are Crocs.
I’ve long-loved Croc flip-flops. While I detested the look of Crocs when they first came out and were all the rage, I’ve always, always loved my flip-flops from them.
Flexi time!

Do you have a favorite go-to outfit or two for spring/summer? What’s your favorite thing to put with a knit skirt?
One beautiful lady and I’m not prejudiced!
Not a bit prejudiced, I’m sure! π
