I was starting to feel like winter was running a bit long, even though it was only the beginning of March. Just that longing for sunshine and spring and birds chirping and green shoots shooting up.
And while I’d enjoyed my touches of Valentine and red, February had zipped past, taking Valentine’s Day with it.
All of this put me in the notion to pull out my springy things and Easter decor.
I wrote it on my planner and one late afternoon, I pulled out my box of Easter stuff, along with the Easter baskets.
I also remembered this lamp that had come home with me from my Grandma’s stuff. Oh, wait, it didn’t come home with me. That’s right. My parents brought it and its twin out. I stuck them away in a closet while they were visiting and kind of forgot about them. I’d wished a couple of times for a lamp at the other end of my living room, so I thought, “Hey, I should try one of these lamps, plus the green is cute for spring. It’s been fun to have it out. I keep thinking I’m going to try a different color or kind of light bulb than what is in it, but haven’t done it yet. The one in it is sorta yellowish. I need to try the soft white light and see if I like it better.
My sister sent me a package with Stauff’s Snickerdoodle coffee and some other stuff. I was so excited to get the coffee. {Thanks again, sis!} If you follow my Instagram, you may have seen it over there. Or on facebook. Yep, I was excited about it and so to social media it goes! 😉
In the box, was this little ship. My middle niece has several cool ships and decided she wanted to get rid of a couple. She knew Tucker liked them so she gave them to him. This one fit in the box, so it rode along. I scavaged onto it and stuck on the shelf. It may make its way up to Tucker’s room eventually. For now, I’m liking it where it is!
I’ve loved incorporating some of my favorite and pretty books into my decor lately.
I like pretty dishes. I pulled this soup tureen out and found a place for it to shine. I picked it up at a garage sale a few years ago. I’ve thought about getting rid of it, but I like it, so it stays.
Old cake plate of my Grandma B’s. Darling lambkins. And love my stripey, glittery egg.
And these bright balls of yarn are making me smile! They just seem so cheery and homey!
Another book that made a fun touch to the decor~
I just really liked this photo, if I do say so myself. And I DO say so myself!!
Love my glass doorknob. I used to open it a lot of times every day. It was on the door going from my kitchen to our backroom/laundryroom/backdoor. One thing from our old house that I liked and kept.
I’ve had this cute little hanger/holder for a long time. I have some different old postcards and change it out for different seasons. It has been a fun thing to have.
Wreath on my front door! I’m wanting to make an Easter egg one. We’ll see if I get it done this spring. If not, maybe I’ll just put up it up anyway, even if it is summer or fall.
Egg plate, little bird and eggs residing on my island for now.
A photo I shot one evening with low lighting. It felt so cozy to look at, but I’m not good enough at photography to know the settings to capture the mood. I snapped it anyway.
I was glad to bring out the spring look.

I love all the touches of spring. Such beautiful colors.
Spring is probably my favorite time of year…although fall is a very close second!! 🙂 🙂
even with the low lighting, I love the table decor! It does look cozy and very fitting for Spring/Easter.
Thank-you so much! I enjoyed it too. I like looking back at pictures and having the visual reminder of different decor that I used at one time or another. 🙂
