Are you a cookie lover?
I am. I am a cookie lover through and through. I am particular about cookies. They have to be just the right amount of softness and freshness and chewiness. A too hard cookie or too old cookie is simply a disgrace and not at all equal.
Now cookies fresh out of the oven………………..definitely!!Definitely, definitely.
Most of the time I would choose a couple of fresh, warm cookies over a piece of cake. {Don’t get me wrong, I like cakes too.} {I like to bake.} {I like to eat baked sweet treats.}
Today, I’m posting a recipe for Snickerdoodle cookies that I really love. The pictures are making me want to go stir up a batch.
Ingredients
- 2 cups soft shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 5 1/2 cups flour
- 4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
Combine shortening and sugar. Mix well.
Add in eggs.
Stir in the rest of the dry ingredients.
Chill.
Form into balls. Roll in a cinnamon-sugar mixture and place on baking sheets.
Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Enjoy warm cookies fresh out of the oven!

Looks so good! But baking cookies wasn’t part of my agenda today, so I will try to blank those delicious looking things out of my mind(not that it’s easy, mind)!
Yum! I love soft chewy snickerdoodles! I’m not sure I’ve ever made them though! I’ll have to have Emma make a batch π
