A story in pictures!
We had a few trees planted!
We had the kiddos each choose a tree.
Tucker’s is an ornamental flowering pear tree. I’m already imagining how much my son and his tree are going to change in the next five years! ‘Cause we all now how fast five years will go by!
Renae’s is a Canadian Chokecherry, if I remember the name correctly.
Way back when our kiddos were younger and shorter, I’d thought it would be fun to go shop for trees and have them each choose one. It was one of those things that just never quite happened. Till now. And like so many things that have a way of working out one way or another, accomplished or not, guess this did too. 🙂 There were some trees at our old house, but here at our house now, we didn’t have any right around the house. We have woods behind us and a few trees out in the backyard area. It’s sorta away from the house, though.
My man {and me too} wanted to get some trees going closer to the house and out in our front area. So, we’re excited to have a few trees in and here’s hoping they thrive magnificently! 🙂
We’d like to sometime move some cedar trees and create tree rows to the north and south. But, like most things, time, money, and effort required!
I’m enjoying looking out my window at our trees.
Three red maples in the front area~

Whoa! When you said you were planting trees you were PLANTING TREES! How fun to have trees that have some size to them to start with 🙂 That grin on Tuckers face so matches the grin on his Momma’s face! I remember that exact look on you when you were his age – and 5 years is really really really gonna bring some changes in that adorable lil guy. Sigh.
It is fun to have some trees in. Here’s hoping they grow and thrive!
I don’t often hear that Tucker looks like me. I’ll have to check out that grin closer. 🙂
