Isn’t this such an adorable picture? I love children’s books and I love great illustrations.
I’m helping spread the word about this new children’s book, Maverick and Me.
The muddy paw prints are such a fun touch inside the cover! 🙂
Poor, little Maverick is lost, lonely and cold. He needs a helping hand and a cozy home and most especially, someone to love him!
What will happen?
Maverick and Me is a story about pets who need cared for and adopted.
The illustrations are darling! You’ll cheer for Maverick when Scarlett chooses to take him home and he gets to be her puppy!
My little nieces loved listening to the story.
Isn’t this book pretty?
I know. I know. You can’t judge a book by its cover. BUT. For ME. The BEST kind of book. The ABSOLUTE BEST, not only is a wonderful, favorite story or inspiration; it ALSO is has a beautiful cover! Hurrah!
The All in All Journaling devotional by Sophie Hudson.
I included this book over in this post ~ Ten Books I Want To Tell You About Today.
This devotional has been very inspirational for me.
Even though it’s “technically” geared for teens and young women. It just holds a lot of food for thought and deals with a lot of relevant issues for the time and year we’re living in.
IF you like writing and journaling, I would recommend the “real” book over the e-book. Each devotional day ends with a few questions and a space to write verses or do some sort of doodling.
THAT’S my pages for this week. My projects??? I have knit just a bit on a dishcloth. I did some Bible journaling and handlettering. I canned salsa!! I’m still trying to get my ankle and foot better. I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, so we’ll see if there’s a bigger underlying issue.
No pictures of any of my projects!!! It’s harder to maneuver and take pictures when you happen to be walking with a gimpy-limp!!
I have a few new recipes I want to try! Tell me!! Have you tried anything especially yummy recently? I’ve been in a cooking slump ever since I twisted my ankle. Obviously in part, because I can’t get around as well, but I fall into these slumps every so often anyhow!!! 🙂
We’ve been doing quick and easy things and using up some freezer food.
It invigorates me to be intentional and choose a few recipes and shop for the ingredients and view them as a project and something new to try instead of simply “another meal that needs fixing!!” Sometimes I need extra motivation!
I’ve seen photos of Houston and the flooding and my hearts is sad for everyone who is affected. When disaster or disease or distresses hit, I always, always think about the upheaval of normal life for whoever is dealing with the circumstances. It will be a long time for so many people before life will settle into a “normal” routine. Do you have a favorite disaster relief or know any good tips or ways to help? It’s amazing and awesome to see how people DO pull together and do what they can, where they can, how they can. Little things or big things. It all adds up and makes a difference!
