I’m changing up my post name. Instead of Yarn Along, I’m going to give Pages and Projects a try.
I’m still going to be talking about books a lot! And my knitting or whatever other project I think about posting.
Ginny Sheller decided it was time to quit posting her Yarn Along link-up due to lots of other things in her life. Everything has a season for sure!
That got me to thinking and I decided I’d toss around some different names for these posts. Soooooooooooooo, that’s the story!
Have you read any of the Yada Yada prayer group books? I’d noticed them at our library, but hadn’t tried them. A friend told me she’d been reading them and she thought I’d like them. The library doesn’t have the first one, but I went ahead and read the second one anyway. It hasn’t been a big deal, although I think you would obviously know more details about the story line if you started with the first one.
We’re onto our second week of Breaking Free.
My SSMT verse for May 1st…………….
Psalm 57:7
My heart, O God is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music.
Corie Clark has mid-year planners coming out next week. Look at the new cover designs that will be available on Monday!! Which one would you choose? Marble or Black with Roses? I think the roses is my pick.
The new planners will also still be available in the white leatherette and black and white stripe.
I’m excited to get to be a brand rep for a few months for Corie Clark. We’re also going to have a giveaway for a $50 gift card for Corie Clark soon! I’m happy excited about that too!
I’m an affiliate as well, so if you are interested in a planner and want to shop through my link, I’m ever so appreciative. You can shop here!
Look at the fun washi they have to add happy to your planner pages!
Let me tell you a little about the planners I’ve had from Corie Clark.
My #1 love about them?! They’re just so pretty! 💕 I so love this flowered cover.
I’m kind of a planner nerd, although I don’t necessarily stick to plans perfectly nor do I plan in detail like many women blessed with that talent. I use a planner as a mental maintenance and management tool! 😄😊 It helps me when I write things down, jot lists or make-a-note-of.
My planner is a place to write appointments, pencil in to-dos and have-tos and give me a general overview of what MAY be going on this week! 😄
These planners have a brain dump section! 👏👏
My first one was a daily planner. Each day has a full page.
My current one is a weekly planner and holds more than one day on a page. For me, the weekly planner lay-out is my favorite. If you are super detailed, I think you would love the whole-page-for-a-day layout.
#2 love about this planner is the heavy-duty spiral and thick cover and gold trimmed corners.
#3 Each page has an inspiring quote and I adore quotes!
Notice the black and white striped box my planner arrived in! It’s so pretty I’ve kept it. I’m going to repurpose it somehow! Do you have a favorite planner? I’ve tried different ideas, options and various planners over the last twenty years! {In part, because I like trying new things.}
In other news apart from books and planners, we watched a couple of good movies recently.
The Women in Gold and The Bridge to Terabithia.
What have you watched that you really liked?
I don’t even have a project to show you this week. It’s all print and pages! I knitted a tiny bit and that’s it. I keep thinking about my cross stitch and longing to get it out. Obviously, I don’t want to bad enough because I haven’t taken the time. I do other things instead.
But, I do have this project of my Mother’s to show you. She sent me pictures of the doll outfit she’s knitting and I asked her if I could share them here. It’s such a cute project!
Oh, you do want to go over to Craftberry Bush and check out her 3D flower art and free printable. Her work and blog is so gorgeous! I printed out her printables and I want to see what I can create with them. They’re so fun!
I’m really excited about May’s flexi of the month. I love it! I hadn’t ordered myself any of the monthly flexis for a while, but I did order this one and I can’t wait for it to arrive. We still have a sale going on at Lilla Rose until tonight. Details in this post.
I talked about my Bible journaling on Monday if you missed that post and are interested.
One other thing….we have a giveaway going on for handcrafted soap, lotion and sugar scrub from Cottonwood Creek Herbals. Go over here to enter it!
Oh, come back tomorrow! We have another fun giveaway starting.
That’s really it this time. All the chit-chat I have for you……………… 🙂
Have a great Wednesday!
And do tell me your recent movie recommendations!!!
