I pulled my glittered pumpkins out last weekend! I don’t have a lot of fall decor, but it was fun to dig it out. The idea for the glittered pumpkins came from here a few years ago. I loved the idea and it looked like something I could handle, so I actually made them!! Andrea’s are prettier, but she just has that knack. And a great supply of craft stuff. I bought the glass glitter from her shop, but she has closed much of her store since then.
I am enjoying having a few touches of fall about the house. Most years I go cut some of our milo heads, but I haven’t done that yet. We usually get some little pumpkins and gourds when we go to the Pumpkin Patch. We grew gourds one year and it was fun to have bunches to decorate with inside and out. We hope to do some gardening again next year, so maybe we’ll put out some gourds.
Thanks to a Bath & Body gift card given to me for my birthday, by a favorite aunt, I bought pumpkin and fall scented handsoaps for my bathrooms last week when we went to Renae’s orthodontist appointment. I like their handsoaps and their fall scents are some of my favorites.
Acorns are so adorable! Don’t you agree? I love them.
Vignette on the dresser top and the mirror in place now.
Pretty little wreath. I need a doorhanger that will fit over an outside door, so I can hang a wreath on my front door. The hangers I found earlier this year work on my inside doors, but the outside doors are too wide. I need to remember to keep an eye out, with fall and Christmas decorations coming out.
That’s a little peek at the fall touches going on around our house. I’m headed out for lunch today for a friend’s fall birthday! Yay! A few hours with friends always blesses me. It is foggy, gray, and a little wet this morning and this always equates cozy to me. Unless it’s that way for too many days in a row. Kansas doesn’t usually stay this way for too long, especially the last couple of years.
Have a blessed weekend with a touch of fall thrown in!

Love the look of fall you gave your house. That first pic is so pretty. I was thinking of the Pumpkin Patch when and wondering if you were going. You could raid our gourd patch! We’d love to let you. I see the hearts came off the mirror. LOL
I’d come get some gourds if it was that easy! Melinda grew some this year and I may get some from her.
The hearts came off the mirror very easily! 🙂
I still love your glittered pumpkins! Fall decor can be so fun – there is so much stuff outside that can just come inside!
For a wreath on my front door Travis put a screw in the top of it – like the complete top – there is wood between the steel outside panels I guess. I just use a ribbon to hang my wreath and put the screw through the ribbon. Works like a charm and I don’t have to deal with a wreath hanger fitting in the door, or falling off, or not being the look I want!
I still love my glittered pumpkins too!! They make me happy! So shiny and pretty!!! 🙂
The idea of the screw in the top of the door is great! I can see Matthew already when I mention it.
Your acorns are so pretty and shiny! I sent Deaton out the other day in search of acorns and they were all small and dull. My hubby puts a tapestry pin, same place as Travis, for our wreaths. I do wish the space between my front door & screen door was wider, that usually determines my wreath for me.
My acorns are shiny because they came from a shop in our local town a couple of years ago! 🙂 We didn’t go find them outside. The ones your son found may not be shiny, but they have their own character!
The pin on the top of the door is a great idea! My hubby will be thrilled. 😉
