About three and a half years ago, we put up a white fence on two sides of our backyard at our old farmhouse. I have really, really loved my white fence. It made our small yard seem cozy.
The end of last summer found a big storm with big wind moving through our backyard. This particular big wind decided to take out a couple panels of my beloved, white fence. At that point in time we had a small idea that we might be switching to a different house, so we cleaned up the pieces, salvaging what we could and simply left it alone.
Fast forward to the end of this summer. Our setting finds us in not living in our old farmhouse and having the plan to take my beloved white fence down when we get the chance. Life is always changing. I never dreamed when we put my fence up, that we would be taking it down again this quickly.
This past weekend we spent Saturday taking down fence and storing it for now. We had a lovely cool breeze blowing while we worked. The sun was pretty warm, but the breeze really helped counteract it.
PUTTING UP FENCE:
We had a good time putting up fence. Mother and Dad were here and helped. My brother lent a hand too.(a pretty big hand) We’re very thankful to them for all the help they’ve given us on projects! And my littles were so little! Does three years really change them so much? I thought they were big then!!
TAKING DOWN FENCE:
Lunch is served!!

Makes me feel rather nostalgic and sad seeing it come down. Amazing how quickly things can change. And wow did 3 years change those kids! My word!! I’m amazed! I think I won’t pull up pics of my kids 3 years ago right now – I don’t think I want to think about how big they are – sniff, sniff.
I LOVE the photo of Tucker with the sandwich, LOVE LOVE LOVE the one of Renae watching the fence down and the last one is pretty awesome too! Somebody is a great photographer!!
I loved that fence and never dreamed it would be coming down now. It was so fun being there when it went up and would have liked being there when it came down. Thanks for sharing the pics. Good photography!
Hopefully you will get a chance to put it up at the new place soon :o)
