What true women have you been inspired by?
I feel blessed to know a lot of women who desire to be true women of God and to strive for Him.
I didn’t say perfect.
They’re real. We’re real. We all have our messes, our mess ups, our fears, our imperfections, yet the grace of God inside and the power of the Spirit and a conscience that shows up when our feet slip off the trail of True Woman Way.
The woman who is my sister. The woman who is my mother-in-law. The women who are my sister-in-laws.
Women who have walked with me in friendship. Women who I have spent time with in Bible study. Women who I have met only once or twice. Women who I read online.
Each one a blessing.
I’m so thankful for my Mother. She has taught me so many things that are good. Very good. Truths in God’s word. Truths by example. True Womanhood.
So thankful.
{I have to admit there is a big part of me that reads the above quote, and laughs sarcastically to myself and at myself and says, “Uh-huh! Good one.” }
I think about my Grandmother and the many ways she did things for others and for her children and twenty some grandchildren. The way she faithfully worked beside her husband on their farm and in their potato business. The way she cooked many meals for the help in the potato harvest after she’d already spent a long day in the storage.
She did good things.
I am thankful for capable and practical and passionate-for-truth Bible teachers.
We need them.
I need them. I need the inspiration and encouragement.
To keep on. To grasp His garment and know He loves us with Love Unspeakable and has such an awesome plan for women. Oh, to glorify Him!
And I so appreciate the message that while God has a design for women and loves women with a big, big love, it is not a cookie cutter design and we are unique and lovely and all have our place to fill.
It’s a big ole world. Life can be scary. People can be scary. Other women can be scary. I can feel overlooked or left out. Lies from the devil, so he can knock me out of the loop and away from the good thing He sees God leading me to.
And wow! Just to think, just to really comprehend that not only am I God’s Divine Design, he has an Interior Design for me.
Thank-you, Father.
