Morty and That Kitty….snuggle bug friends!
THIS POOR CHILD!!!!!!!!! Someone please get her a flexi, PRONTO!!!!!!! HELP HER!!!!! 🙂
I laughed so hard when I walked in the kitchen and saw this. Then I picked up my camera. Then I shared the picture with my Lilla Rose group.
Who knew?!!! You don’t need flexis, a clothespin will do! Ahem. {I like the flexi look a wee bit better…..}
Good food. Mmmm. Sniff, sniff! Warm oven baking away on chilly days! So cozy!
We made Stuffed Pork Chops and Crusty Potatoes.
Our chilly days haven’t come to stay yet! We had some hot afternoons last week. We’re also still hoping for rain!! We had some showers. But we need a good soaking, rain-right-down day.
And blueberry muffins baked in these fun, fun muffin liners! A friend gave them to me for my birthday. They were great for this muffin recipe, because it has streusel topping and the height contained the streusel. It was awesome!
Matthew and Renae joined an excursion to a park in Oklahoma to see dinosaur tracks. They got to explore a cave with ancient writing and sketches. They also were just inside New Mexico. It was a big day, but they thoroughly enjoyed it!
Decor in my dearie daughter’s room! If this was Instagram, I would tag you @sewafineseam!
Awwww, look at my babies!!! I have this picture propped on my newish desk area.
The wildlife were abundant last week. I saw turkeys and bunnies and a racoon and a beagle all in our milo field one afternoon.
This group of turkeys were all congregated right in our backyard one morning. Until I let Cooper out. He scattered them and many of them took wing. They can fly pretty well when they need to!!
I heard our Peterbilt returning to the nearby field and heard the jake brake. I thought to myself, “I’d know that jake brake anywhere.” And then I laughed, because don’t all jake brakes pretty much sound alike?
My son thanked me for a packed lunch I’d dropped off at the field for him. He said, “I really liked it. There was a lot in it.” It made me giggle to myself, because I am amazed at the amount of food he can put away sometimes, anymore. And my mother-in-law fed four boys for a lotta, lotta years! In fact, now she feeds them and all the rest of us too, on occasion! 🙂
And then there was this exchange of conversation that totally gave me the best giggle! It so fits a twelve-year-old boy!
I told my son, “Home is where my people are.” He replied, “Home is where the food is!”
We finished cutting milo!!! Three cheers!
That means nothing left to do on the farm, I’m sure!!!! 😉 Plenty of projects and clean-up and lists to choose from.
The end of the week found my house cleaned up and I felt more caught up than I had for a while. That’s always nice, but living daily life at our house usually means everything-not-all-put-away and crumbs-on-the-floor and that’s ok too.
May this week bless you! I thought about saying, “May this week bless your socks off!” But as I type, my socks feel pretty good. It’s just chilly enough. So maybe I’ll say, “May this week bless you in your cozy socks!!”

Laughing, laughing! Only Renae! Clothespin holding her braid! When she has all those beautiful flexis at her disposal! Clothespin must have been close at hand. That kitty and that Morty make a fine pair! Fun to see all the pics.
It was! She braided it very quickly in the kitchen and didn’t want to take time to go get a flexi!!! So funny looking!
Morty and That Kitty are so fun!
Totally cracking up! That is such a ‘Renae’ thing to do – grab a clothespin instead of one of the multitude of lovely flexis 🙂 I love it! And hey! It might just be the next big thing – tell her to bling out that clothespin a bit and everyone will be clamoring for her to make them one!
Love the Tucker comment too – so totally an almost-teen boy thing to say!
Love Renae’s decor – I might be tempted to tuck that in my suitcase in a few weeks!
That’s right! All you need is a little bling!! 🙂
Renae probably won’t let you sneak her decor into your suitcase. 🙂 {But she is pretty nice.}
