This Memoir Monday is pretty much rockin’ the pictures. I just had a bunch and a bunch that I wanted to include
First up! Our new niece!
We were able to go to eastern KS last weekend and sneak a peek!
Renae was on her way home from Ohio with some friends and it worked out for us to meet them and pick her up and she got to see the baby too!
With harvest approaching, we won’t be going to far afield for a while.
Big sister would crawl up beside her and say, “Look at her!”
It was adorable.
They are adorable.
We are not biased.
Yes. Actually, we are completely biased. 🙂
Love, love this grin!
My husband has three brothers. My mother-in-law raised four boys.
She now has five granddaughters and one grandson.
Our other baby niece.
Um, darling!!!!
I love the tiny babies. They’re so sweet and soft and precious, but this age!!! They start getting so, so fun with smiles and personality and you can cuddle them and they’re all chubby and soft and not quite so fragile.
Welcome Home!
Bro made preps to welcome his sis home.
Rearrange.
Mrs. Homemaker decided it was time to clean and rearrange and freshen up for summer.
Every now and then that rearrange bug bites.
Swoon! Loving this necklace and bracelet my sister enclosed for me when she mailed me her business bookwork papers for the month. They are made by Creative Carmella. She blogs here and is on fb here and if you have IG, she’s on there too.
Still loving looking at my wedding gown.
I had this print of my Love and I done and hung it in our room.
I saw it on IG and fell madly in love. It makes me laugh. It is so ME.
I really would kinda like to have one! 🙂
They’re sold at an Etsy shop called Simply Made Greetings. Find it here and their fb page here. And they’re on IG too.
Much bustle in and out and around the farm this week. Trucks coming out and prepping for harvest. More work on the combine. Spraying done. Work done for M’s Dad, who is still recovering from his surgery. Summer like weather.
Make your own pizza fun.
T’s ~ loaded with meat. Stuffed crust.
R’s ~ she made it to look like Baymax.
I made this heart for my man. *giggle, giggle* It always cracks me up how as a girl, it’s just in me to do hearty, lovey type things if I’m fixing something special for my guy, and I know he’d prob get more out of it if I shaped it like a combine or tractor or motorcycle. Those shapes test my abilities beyond capacity, especially since just getting a good heart shape took some effort!
Mine. Olives. Banana pepper rings. {just a few]
RHUBARB!!
My mother-in-law blessed us with rhubarb.
We made rhubarb pie and we made……………….{to be continued}
Over in my Pies category, you can find my Rhubarb Pie recipe.
We didn’t have a pool last summer and it was fine, but we’re excited to be setting one up this year!
R&T pretty much set it up by themselves.
It was handy. Even if a bit sad. I’ve been the pool caregiver and setter upper ever since Renae J’s first summer.
There’s no way I could’ve done it by myself this year and it was really nice just to have these capable kids that could do it. My son was pretty into doing it and then it struck me, “Duh! It’s assembly. Kinda like building Legos, except without Legos.”
He did build a Lego boat to take into the pool.
{continued}……………Rhubarb Jello. Recipe over here.
THIS BOOK.
I had a Shutterfly offer for an 8 x8 book, so I had one made of our vacation pictures to Hatteras. I was excited for it to arrive. It’s so fun to flip through and it captured some of the memories and it made me ready to go back.
Hanging pots.
My farmer man needed to go to John Deere and I rode along. We tried out a new {gasp} Mexican restaurant in our town. {I gasp because we have a LOT of Mexican. We need Italian and Chick-fil-a.} {In my opinion.}{Although I do like Mexican.}{Hog Wild would be welcomed too.}
I grabbed some groceries and made a stop at the greenhouse for some hanging flowerpots. I like putting them on my clothesline and have a hook to hang one on.
My husband hung them up for me when we got home and that very afternoon, it PROMPTLY got windy. I suppose it thought it needed to break the poor baskets in, to life in the country away from their sheltered greenhouse.
My shells just make me so happy. Such good memories. I am working on some of our Hatteras pictures. Harvest pictures may beat them out. We’ll see.
Got it filled.
With water AND inflatables.
Woot!
Caught this shot of the sprayer and my farmer headed back to the farm.
This Bible study is hanging out waiting for the start of LPM Summer Bible study. I keep glancing at it. Excited about it, but keep thinking, “I’m just not so great at this unselfishness and loving others thing.” This particular study is on 1,2, & 3 John. Jump over here if you’d like to check out what LPM Summer Bible study is all about.
My son stated this week, “I love Kansas. I wish it was just like it is, but only 2 hours from the beach. And still just 6 hours from the mountains.” I know, son, I know.
I started following @mainstreetgreenville on IG. It’s my growing-up-years hometown and it’s so fun to see the familiar pictures.
I asked this on my fb page,
If you had to choose one, which would be your favorite room in your house?
The June flexi is flying away fast! Some sizes are already gone.
Those babies are pure sweetness! Love where you put Grandpa’s old license plate. Food looks delish! That wedding dress!!!!! So fun to have a glimpse of your week.
Aww! Aren’t the babies darling? Just so dear. And I think God did the funnest thing of giving them each two girlies. Four girl cousins so close in age! They will have a lot of fun!
I’m enjoying the license plate, too. Did you notice the welcome home sign? Picture especially for you! 🙂
Still working on True Woman and loving it.
Yes, I did see the welcome home pics. Love the little note on the box of candy. So great to see the camaraderie between bro and sis.
Love that you used the word camaraderie! 🙂
And I loved that I had help spelling it!
Great post – fun to see a bit of what goes on in your little corner of the world. And just your pics of your photo book have me all homesick for a big yellow house at the side of the beach in Hatteras. And all of you too.
I know. I love looking at the pictures and then want to go back!! Renae just said yesterday that she was missing the ocean. It was so fun!!
What a full and wonder-full week! 🙂 I bet that pool will see lots of use. It’s been quite warm here lately. We’re very spoiled, though. We really are a couple hours from the ocean and a couple hours from the mountains.
Just a wee bit of envy that you are that close to ocean and mountains! 🙂 Hooray for you! What a happy thing!
Yes, the pool has already been put to good use.
Thanks for stopping by!
