Did you have a good Thanksgiving?
We did.
We had a yummy dinner at Matthew’s Mom and Dad’s and we got to play with and squeeze and laugh at our niece.
So, yep it was good.
Did you cook for Thanksgiving?
My mother-in-law did most of our dinner this year. I took green bean casserole.
I do enjoy fixing Thanksgiving dinner partly because I have favorite recipes I like to make and partly because it’s really great to have a fridge full of leftovers! When you don’t cook, you don’t get to eat the leftovers!
One of my favorites is my Grandma’s Cranberry Salad. My sister posted the recipe last week. I missed out on having it this year. And it doesn’t make a lot of sense for me to make it just for my family, because I’m really the only one that likes it. I have cut the recipe down before and made a smaller batch.
we crunched cracker crumbs ~
I like having cracker crumbs in the freezer. It makes quicker prep for recipes that call for them. And it’s a good way to use crackers that have been opened and either need to be eaten or kept fresh in one way or another!
we do more cleanup…. thanks to our neighbor’s telehandler
we wash blankets from the basement…cozy and clean…freshly flapping on the line…warmer temps ~ hurrah!
cute and cozy log cabin…built and photographed by the Lego man ~
a bit of pheasant hunting for my man…kiddos watching him clean the pheasant
JIC has been having a special sale every day since Friday and continuing through tomorrow! Hop over and check out Monday’s deal!
a fun and yummy cheesecake surprise delivered to our door by Fed Ex…ordered for us by neighbors…I love getting packages…
we drive the go-cart a bit…
I talked about my Gratitude Journal in this post. I discovered last week that Money Saving Mom created a Gratitude Journal and it is available. The cover and colors on it areΒ really cuteΒ and it would make a very fun gift! It is called Choose Gratitude: Blessings Journal and is available on Amazon.Β {links are my affiliate}
If I needed a Gratitude journal, I’d add this to my Christmas list. But I love the one I’m using and it is far from full!
What is one of your favorite gift ideas? Or something you’re really excited about gifting someone this year? And are you doing any Cyber Monday deal shopping?
I have a lot of my Christmas shopping done this year, but still have a few things to decide on. I’m hoping to get Christmas decor out and wrap gifts this week.
If you want an awesome gift idea, go over here to my sister’s blog for instructions on making a pouffe or if you aren’t into making one, you can purchase one from her, already made! You can pop over here to read about my pouffe and how much I love it!

We will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with out lives. Each of us is an original.

Sounds like fun happenings π there is still some cranberry salad left here. I’ve been eating it – and it isn’t on my THM plan. Time to throw it out I guess π
