The past few weeks have been busy and I’ve been glad for a couple of days recently to catch up and just be at home. We were gone to Ohio and the week before I left was rather too crazy in my estimation. Then my parents were here which was fun and nice and busy all in a different way. Well, and starting back to school thrown into that as well.
Roses still pretty even if they are drooping now~
Β Some cleaning and rearranging and dusting and getting out fall decor~
Pecan Pie Candle! You can save 10% off your JIC order with the coupon code FallHarvest. {It can be used once per customer.}The end of the week definitely turned out the fall weather!! Fifties and chilly! I am loving my JIC candles. They burn really well and make my house smell good. In this case, they make my house smell yummy!!
We got to go see Tim Hawkins. Much of his humor totally cracks me up. John Branyon was with him and one of the best parts was when he performed his telling of theΒ Three Little Pigs. I like words and his discourse is just great! Plus, it amazes me to think about the effort put into coming up with the tale and then memorizing it.
That always brings me to thinking about theΒ huge diversity ofΒ abilities and talents in people.
I also got a kick out of Tim’s song “Jimmy Buffet is the President.” Tim’s ability to put words together and music and the antics he comes up with are just some of the best!
Candlelight flickering is so pretty andΒ often has me at least thinking about picking up my camera~
Identity declaration from the Living Proof Simulcast event with Beth Moore.
I was very happy to get to attend this event again this year, at a local church. So inspired! I was very refreshed and inspired last year and possibly even more so this year. I am thankful to God for His word.
Hebrews 4:12a ~ for the word of God is living & active
This verse graced the front of our notebooks and was printed on t-shirts that are available at Lifeway. Β Renae and I helped out just a bit with the event as part of the hospitality team, so we have t-shirts from it because the “help” all wore the t-shirts. They are cute!
The over riding theme of the message was Being Female Well. Hop over here to The LPM Blog for printables and be sure to click on the link “What does a woman of God look like?” for a fun, humorous, touching, poignant poem.
Β New Bible study waiting on me! My ladies’ group is starting this. It looks very interesting and will be inspiring as we head into fall and then the Christmas season.
I still need to finish the one we were on. We were doing No Other Gods by Kelly Minter. Between not feeling well with my back, life in the summer, and being gone, I only made it to a coupleΒ of our group discussions for this study. I’ve really enjoyed working through it and need to get the last few days completed. I’ve done Nehemiah by Kelly and I also worked through Ruth a few summers ago. I liked them both very much.
We had a delicious supper at my aunt’s house.
My mom and IΒ visited a sweet older lady who is recovering from hip surgery.
My parents headed home on Wednesday. So thankful for another safe trip for them.
My man spent quite a few hours in the tractor.
We worked on schoolwork.
My very favorite flip-flops broke and are officially done for. π
September is slipping right on by……….
I LOVE Tim Hawkins! And that Three Little Pigs story is just the best. I wanted to buy the book when we heard it but didn’t take the time.
I saw somewhere online when I was searching for the video, that maybe there was a book, but didn’t go look it up. That would be great! I love the wording!
