A recap of our comings and goings….
Two Saturdays past found us attending a cousin’s son’s graduation. We remember when he was born!
Fish fry with uncles on Saturday evening. Much fun.
Sunday we spent the day at our friends’.
Monday found us headed to the eye doctor’s. Tucker got something in his eye when he was playing outside on Sunday evening and it was bothering him. Turns out it was a seed hull stuck up under his eyelid. It looked little, but doc said it was huge to be hanging out in your eye. The doctor said it was concave shaped and so it sticks fairly easily. This is the second time Tucker has had to visit the eye doctor because of something in his eye. The other time he was helping his Dad with seed wheat on a very windy day and ended up with some wheat chaff in it. I guess he needs to learn to blink faster or wear safety goggles! I’m thankful for an eye doctor with the right tools and the know how for getting stuff out of eyes. It’s not fun and I really don’t want to have to go back, but it was interesting to watch the doctor. He tried using a big Q-tip/cotton swab thing first and ended up using small forceps to get the seed hull. He said there were a couple of scratches on Tucker’s eye, but it looked good and could’ve been more scratched up than it was.
Tuesday morning I looked over my schedule and list of some things I was going to do, with the plan to be home all day. Mid-morning my farmer man called and wondered if I was interested in delivering a fuel pump to a shop so it could get worked on. You just never know how a day is going to end up! So, Renae and I prepared to be delivery ladies and headed for the city. Renae got rather amused that we drove for a little over an hour, but it only took a couple of minutes to complete our delivery. We went and ate lunch and then we went shopping. I’d been needing to go a few places, but hadn’t really wanted to take the time or make the trip. The fuel pump decided for us that this was the day to shop!
Wednesday, I went out for brunch with some of my best people to celebrate my aunt’s birthday! She turned 70. Impossible! Just impossible.
Thursday, Renae had an ortho app. and we had errands to run in town.
We celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday on Friday afternoon. It was a very fun afternoon with friends and family and sped right past.
Saturday!!! Saturday, we celebrated seventeen years of marriage. I love my man!
Sunday, Matthew’s brothers and parents were all here. His youngest brother’s family came out and surprised Mom on Saturday evening. We totally loved watching our two baby nieces. They’re so funny!
Sunday night we watched it rain!!!!!!! An inch and a quarter! We are so thankful.

Happy Anniversary! 17 years! Seems like just yesterday but yet it also feels like forever. So thankful you got rain too!
