This pie has been one of my very favorites! I really liked making the leaves and I really liked how they turned out. Scattering the roses with them made and extra-fun design.
I have a leaf shape cutter I cut the leaves with and then I added the embossing with the edges of some other cutters or by using a regular ole table knife.
I definitely want to do another pie or three with leaves. Hopefully, sometime this fall!
You’ll find my apple pie filling recipe right over here. It’s so yummy!
My ideas for pies abound, but my time does not. Or energy!! Sadly, enough. I’ve seen so many beautiful pies on Instagram that are wonderful inspiration for designs to try!
I recently saw one that looked like a wrapped gift. It was beautiful and I don’t think it would be difficult.
I’ve also had some handpies jumping around in the back of my brain all summer. They’re cute little squares embellished with flowers and leaves and fun stuff. I hope to try those too.
Do you like to make pies? Share with me any fun ideas you’ve seen for pretty pies! I’d love to hear and share the inspiration! 🙂 Happy day!

That pie is so pretty!!! Absolutely lovely!! Here in the sunny south it’s still very warm and summery so for our visit with friends today I’m taking a no-bake Orange Dreamsicle pie. It’s super easy (very little energy required😉) and is a pretty color too!
Your pie sounds delicious!!! The orange would make such a beautiful color.
This has been my favorite “pretty pie” so far! 🙂 I enjoy creating them, but they do take some time!!
We had some cooler weather in August, but it’s quite warm here today!
Eeeeek! What a beautiful masterpiece and labor of love!
So lovely!
I have to admit that there would be remorse as I ate your work of beauty. 🙂
Thank you for your sweet comment over on my blog! (((hugs)))
Thank-you! So kind of you!
It’s fun to make even though it does take a bit of time!! 🙂 The upside to this craft is it is consumable! Ha! I enjoy making pom-pom wreaths, but you only need so many after a while!!! 🙂
That is beautiful! Thanks for sharing on the All Things Apple Celebrate 365 Blog Party!
