In Which We Have A Peripeti Home Candle Giveaway

Peripeti Home offers seasonal fragrances along with their signature scents and their new lineup for fall, Christmas, and winter looks and sounds fantastic!

The candles can be ordered in either your choice of regular wick or a wood wick.
The Winter Citrus candle I received came with a woodwick and the Pumpkin Ginger has a regular wick.

I like words and descriptions and so I found the labels on each candle to be a fun detail.
Underneath the scent and candle name, the fragrance notes are listed.

Here’s the list for the Winter Citrus:
Top Notes: Orange Peel, Peppercorn
Mid Notes: Mandarin, Citron
Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Cloves

I definitely spent some time holding the candle to my nose, closing my eyes, sniffing, savoring, assessing which of the flavor tones and aromas I was inhaling! I noticed the orange with the supporting scents of clove and citron with a hint of vanilla

Pumpkin Ginger’s label tells us…………..
Top Notes: Ginger, Allspice
Mid Notes: Pumpkin, Brown Sugar, Nutmeg
Base Notes: Clove, Molasses, Vanilla, Almond

Perepeti Home combines candles and fragrance with a beautiful mission of providing supportive work opportunities to refugee women in Cleveland, Ohio. I love this partnership of work and mission. {And I grew up in Ohio, so yay for that too! 🙂 }
They offer clean home fragrances {sulfate and phthalate free} made with sustainably sourced soy grown in the USA and they choose not to blend it with other waxes.

I like these lines from the card enclosed in my package,
“You can be confident that your purchase is a small choice with significant impact – caring for the planet, empowering women, and contributing to meaningful connection – with yourselves and others.”

Here’s a bit of the story behind this candle company and I think it is delightful!
Again, I love words, so the choice of name and the definition are lovely.

Peripeti’s Story

“Started in 2015 by our Creative Director Kate Walsh Dodok, Peripeti focuses on delivering natural, non-toxic fragrances as an important part of our homes. 
“Peripeti refers to a small thing with significant impact,” Kate says.  “To me, that sums up fragrance. We all live busy, hectic lives. But, by just lighting a candle, watching the flame and enjoying the fragrance, ordinary moments become something special.”

I burn candles most of the year, but autumn and winter do seem to hold the optimal days for flickering wicks.
Pumpkin spice, Apple, Maple, Pine, Orange……a few of my favorite aromas.
Over on Peripeti’s site the Mulled Orange Spice and Pomegranate Spice both caught my eye, though I daresay it’s a pretty tough choice. They all sound delicious.

The name of this candle grabbed me……because I’m two parts Hobbit, an Enneagram 9 and an introvert + reader + writer…… Hibernation! Isn’t it fun? Here are the notes in it:
Top notes:  Bayberry
Middle notes:  Cardamom, Nutmeg
Base notes: Amber, White Cedar
