Happy Monday morning!!!!
For the most part, I DO like Mondays. New week….new things to do…….schedules and routines…..{though our schedules of any sort are always very much subject to change, due to weather, work, farm and unexpected events!!!}
One reason I like Mondays at this season in my life is because I am most generally at home. While I enjoy outings with family and friends, and I have a list of places I’d like to travel and anytime anyone offers to send me to the beach, I’m game………. 🙂 I definitely treasure time at home. Large social gatherings are not my thing and when I have too much running around happening, I begin to get grumpy and crave some quiet time, some time to putter, time to put things in order in my home and time to get lost in a good story, book or movie!
As it happens, on THIS particular Monday morning, we have a movie giveaway AND a movie hop!!! {There’s also a board book giveaway just beginning if you hop over here!}
Let’s hear some HooRaYS!!!!! A little louder………….once more……………
Yes!!!! That’s it!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m giving away two favorite movies of ours!
{You’ll find a variety of favorites and products we love on my Amazon page here}
I’ve never been big on the Peanuts comic strip, but somehow the movie struck a chord with me and I love it. I adore Charlie Brown’s good heart, good character, perseverance, and integrity. I relate to his insecurities, fears, doubts and trying hard anyway. And I really, really want to tell Lucy to BE NICE. Unfortunately, you can’t change people and some people can not hear even if they’re told. Ha!
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
I can never get the order of the adjectives right when I try to mention this movie or recommend it to someone! Haha! I bascially know it’s about Alexander and it was a crummy, rotten day! 😉
This movie makes us laugh every time. A couple of other things I love about it………
It embraces the truth that some days are not good days. Sometimes we need to take a deep breath, assess the situation, call it what it is, {a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day} and carry on, knowing another day will be better.
It portrays a family that pulls together and cheer each other on and perseveres together, despite disagreements, disappointments and bad days.
Have you watched either of these movies? Do you have a favorite movie? I’d love to hear!
Enter below on the Rafflecopter and then hop over to the other blogs to enter their movie giveaways as well!!!
And Happy Monday………I hope it involves some of your favorite things!
