I’m pretty sure I overuse the word excited. Thing is, it’s often the exactly-right-just-perfect-fit to describe my feelings.
There aren’t any synonyms that fit as well.
Here’s what I mean.
I want to tell you that I’m very, very excited to bring you this giveaway.
HOWEVER, I often say that about our giveaways. Because I AM excited about them! It’s fun to get to share giveaways for things I love or new things I’ve tried or found.
I got to thinking that I should hunt for another description.
Nothing works as well as excited.
Exuberant is a good word. But when I think about a great giveaway, well it makes me excited or happy or delighted, but not necessarily exuberant.
Enchanted or overjoyed are good words. But once again, they don’t capture what I want to describe.
SO. I’m afraid we are stuck with my overuse of excited along with happy and delighted! 🙂
Today we have a giveaway for this cd of beautiful, beautiful, inspiring music.
The intro and first song brought tears to my eyes.
This cd starts with a Voicemail intro. It begins to play the recorded messages waiting in voicemail. Several friends have left encouraging messages of love and prayers and friendship because they know their friend is walking through a dark time and trying to distant them. They aren’t about to leave her or let her go.
So beautiful!

Here’s a bit of the story behind this cd ~
Mandisa wrote her song “Overcomer” in 2013 to encourage her close friend Kisha, who was battling breast cancer. Mandisa really believed and prayed that God was going to heal her, but when Kisha went to be with Jesus in 2014, Mandisa’s foundation was shaken in a way she never expected. She fell into a deep pit of depression for close to 3 years, shutting out her friends, family and the rest of the world. Mandisa believes if she had kept going down that road she was on, she would not be here today… but God stepped in and lifted her out of that pit by using her close friends to communicate their love for her and God’s love for her. This album is Mandisa’s way of letting her fans into her story – it’s called ‘Out Of The Dark’ because that is exactly where God lifted her out of!
