Faithfulness Pictured ⋆ A Delightful Glow

Psalm 89:8 ~ O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O Lord?
You are entirely faithful.

Faithfulness is shown in the changing seasons. Green leaves turn into yellow and gold and red. Faithfully as this earth spins, the cycle of summer and autumn and winter and spring continues.

Faithfulness is portrayed by the puppy who enthusiastically comes running to greet me every time I pull in the lane. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Faithfulness is in the sunrise beaming above the horizon every morning.

Faithfulness is hidden in the wheat seed kernels as they settle in the ground, life hidden inside them.

Faithfulness is pictured in the farmer as he climbs into his tractor and goes another round. Another year. Another field. Planting in faithfulness.

Faithfulness doesn’t always come as mighty mountains that move. Is it easier to move a mountain or cause a mustard seed to grow? Is it easier to take the stage or do the hidden, unseen task of serving others?

Faithfulness is seen in the handclasp of the elderly couple settled in their familiar church pew side by side. Sixty years of doing life together. Commitment. Dedication. Steadfastness.

Faithfulness beams from the dad bending down to earnestly listen to his small daughter, as she shares excited chatter and important news about candy dropped off at their door.

Faithfulness is found in the mama, the wife as she plucks her man’s favorite breakfast bars from the shelf and places them in her cart. As she riffles through the stack of jeans to find the right size for her growing daughter.

Faithfulness glows in tired lines of another mama, who swings the fussy two-year-old to her hip and heads down the hall to fix a warm, bubbly bath for baby, and then rock and snuggle.
