Excerpt about Daddy’s Girl ~ It begins with the bubbly host setting up for a fabulous tea party: she plates cookies, perfects table placements, and puts on sparkly jewelry. Excitement builds as the little girl hangs a special sign on a chair and hears a knock at the door. When her father, the mystery guest of honor, walks in, his daughter decorates him with fancy tea-party attire, and he joins in the fun. The story closes with a sweet hug and the conclusion that tea is best with Dad.
With a trim size of 9 x 9 inches and a shimmering, pearlized jacket, Daddy’s Girl is a gift-sized picture book that radiates with the vibrant colors and endearing art of Estelle Corke. The book’s playful, rhyming text conveys the exuberance of the young narrator in great read-aloud fashion. Perfect for Father’s Day presents and every day in between, Daddy’s Girl is a loving tribute to father-daughter relationships.

My daughter loves playing tea party with her stuffed animals and of course with mom & dad.
Thanks for the chance to win!! She’d love this!!
How fun!
When my daughter was little we had frequent teaparties with her little teaparty dishes. And yes, we actually did drink tea from the cups. Her favorite book was the 3 Bears.
Teaparties and real tea in tiny teacups are such fun memories! Throw in a favorite book and you’re definitely set! 🙂
We love teaparties. We have one every time they visit. I read classic books to them, we are reading Heidi right now.
Oh, how fun! I love Heidi!
My mother-in-law would read chapter books to my children when they stayed with her and they loved it.
Tea parties are delightful!
My favorite children’s book is The Cow Who Fell in the Canal and my favorite book for older readers is Anne of Green Gables.
Dear, dear Anne! Such fun books!
The title of The Cow Who Fell in the Canal totally intrigues me.
My 9 yr old niece loves tea parties. Im sure my almost 3 yr old granddaughter will love them too. There is a Tea House about 30 minutes from where I live. I’ve been there once and it’s so pretty. It has a huge tea cup with seating and a round table. It’s just a neat place. They have lunch that takes reservations. They are a little pricey. Thank you for the chance 😀
My niece and I love tea parties! Our favorite books are the Llama Llama series!
How fun! The Llama Llama books are funny. Rhyming books are always a favorite with me.
