I’ve been using essential oils for five years now! I can’t believe it’s been that long.
I don’t think I’ve ever held a giveaway for oils. When I was thinking about celebrating through July with giveaway favorites, it occurred to me to definitely give away some oils!
I really love my oils and use them every day. They’re definitely a favorite thing of mine. I’ve learned a lot about them, but there’s also a lot I don’t know.
I’m sort of a try-it-and-see-if-I-like-it-and-if-it-works-for-me-and-if-it’s-something-I-want-to-do person! 🙂
I started out signing up and receiving my kit and using my diffuser and giving the oils a try.
And, basically, I haven’t quit!
I like my oils. I’m not an all-natural-be-my-own-doctor-person in any sense of the expression. I am very grateful for doctors and nurses and surgeons and the medical field. I also don’t go to the doctor for every little thing, but I do when we need to.
I don’t view essential oils as a cure-all. Yet, I do love them very much!
They make a difference for us. I’m not a salesperson personality. I don’t have any awesome stories or huge life-altering experiences. We still have headaches and allergies. I still have back pain and sciatic trouble. But the oils do help and I love them! We use lavender and peppermint and lemon to help with allergies. Anytime we start getting a cold, we break out the Thieves and drink Ningxia Red. We still get colds, but if we do they’re generally much shorter duration and don’t develop into as deep of a virus.
I put lavender on at night and use Cedarwood sometimes for a good night’s sleep. Cedarwood promotes relaxation.
I’ve been putting Lime in my diffuser a lot this summer. I love all the citrus oils. They’re good mixed with other oils, too.
Valor is another of my favorites. It’s great for massage and it’s been known to be called Chiropractor in a bottle, because it helps ease tension and relieve sore muscles. It’s also known to help with snoring by applying it to your big toe.
I use peppermint for headaches and Purification for itchy bug bites.
I do have a few oils that I do not care for the smell at all! Some I will use if I need them. Others I really do avoid! 🙂
For me, it really has worked to try them out and see what became my favorites and what I like, love and use. If you’re interested in trying oils, I do recommend purchasing a reference guide. I have this one and I refer to it fairly often. Mine is the 2012 addition, and there are updated versions by now, of course. I especially used it and read through it when I first began my oil adventure!

Citrus Fresh. LOVE. All the citrus oils smell so good to me.
Nutmeg. Use nutmeg for massage and it can help relieve muscle pain, swelling and inflammation, and also promote circulation. It may also be used as a natural painkiller.
Stress Away. This oil blend is great for relaxing and combatting tension. I love the smell of it, too. A few of the oils in this blend are vanilla, lavender, lime and cedarwood. Some of my favorites, so Stress Away is an aromatic oil for me.

I love lemon and tea tree oil. And use those the most.nwell eucalyptus is probably met all time favorite.
I love all the citrus! I think I may have eucalyptus, but haven’t used it much at all. Will have to try it! 🙂

Deborah, I bought the valor blend a few weeks ago and had my husband massage me every night with it. Trust me! It’s like the pain never existed. I used to have some serious back pains from an injury I had in my 20s and had to visit a Chiro frequently. And you know that’s not so convenient all the time. Since I’ve forced my husband to give me a massage everyday lol… I’ve been feeling so much better.
My favorite oils so far are the peppermint and lavender essential oils.
