Of Bright Blooms and Light

My roses began blooming this spring and one May-day I clipped some buds and blooms to brighten the house.

This led to light streaming in and bouncing off the rosebud. I found my camera and looked through the lens and clicked the shutter closed.

I’d wanted to try some lighting techniques and some different settings and this provided opportunity.

It was fun to see what I could do and what I could try, and to watch the light diffuse around the roses.

I took several!

I meant to post them.

Other posts happened and pictures of posies waited!

Here we are in January………….and what could be a better bit of bright for our day than the lovely bloom of spring and pink and rose petals!
