There is a walkout basement in the house we are working on. The outside wall was never finished, so my brother bricked it for us. He worked as a brick mason for nine years. Came in handy for us! Yay for brick mason brothers!
The wall definitely needed finished. Dirt had blown into the corner and by the wall being unfinished, termites decided it would make a good home. Not yay at all. So Termite Control came out a week or so ago and will continue to visit us for a while. Not really an expense we were wanting to have. Oh well-who really wants any kind of expense? On the good side, the termite activity didn’t spread to any of the rest of the house.
My kiddos were fascinated to get to see Uncle J. lay brick. Great teaching moment!
Now I need to take a picture of the completed wall! One more thing finished.
A little brick makes a huge difference! It’s nice to know talented people!
It is very nice to know talented people that don’t mind lending a hand!
Talented brothers are so nice! 😉 Looks like you are crossing off MORE projects on the to do list!!
Crossing off is the best part! Little by little..
So fun to see projects getting checked off. Wonder how it felt to your brother to be laying brick again?!! It looks so nice. Hope those old termites realize they are not welcome here. Has Tucker decided to be a hod carrier?! Looks like he was a big help. Glad his tongue didn’t get tangled in the mort!!
heehee! Wouldn’t be tucker if he didn’t have his tongue out! kind of like sound effects helping so does holding your tongue the right way!
I know! Loved that pic of him.
Let’s see, I think my bro made a comment to my son that went something along this line-“If this looks like fun, it really isn’t!” 🙂
Looks like the brick-laying talent hasn’t forsaken him!
Glad to see that marked off your list:)
That looks fantastic!
what a great project! my 2 year old would enjoy the real life Bob the Builder moment!
