Giveaway day!
Have you heard of or read The Biggest Story storybook?
I had not heard of it or seen it before.
The hardcover book debuted about a year ago.
Then this year, it was released in dvd form.
We received a copy of the DVD and the audio CD. AND we’re hosting a giveaway for one of YOU to win a copy of the DVD and audio CD as well!
This story begins at the beginning with Adam and Eve and follows through the Bible stories to the birth of Jesus, our Savior. It points out God’s promises and the need of His people in their sin for the Promised One to come and redeem us.
It highlights different Bible characters briefly as it continues on to the birth of Jesus.
This story would be a good starting prompt to dig deeper into the stories in the Bible with your children. Especially for new believers or Bible beginners.
I think smaller children will enjoy the simplicity of the story and the colors and movement of the animated pictures from the book.
I think if you are an arts-y person and color lover, you’ll enjoy the animation, too!
For those more in-depth in the Word, it reminds us of and refreshes the story of God, and of His plan and promises after the serpent tricked Adam and Eve and sin entered.
God is faithful.
I love “real” books, but dvd’s and audios are awesome, too. They’re great for in the car, of course, but they’re also great for kiddos to listen to while they play or build.
I liked cuddling with my kids and reading to them, but I appreciated the ability audios afforded for my children to hear more stories and books than I could read to them. Plus, sometimes I enjoy listening too!
Here’s a brief description from the dvd~
The Animated Short Film: Featuring beautifully animated illustrations adapted from the book, The Biggest Story: The Animated Short Filmwill captivate children and parents alike as they see how all the classic stories in the Bible connect to Scripture’s overarching message about God’s glorious plan to redeem his rebellious people.
The Audio Book: This audio book of The Biggest Story—written and narrated also by the best-selling author Kevin DeYoung—leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ’s death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth.

There are so many good lessons in Job. I like how the stories in the Bible are relateable to things we deal with today. Praise God!
I don’t have a favorite Bible story book; too many to choose from! I’m excited about this giveaway – thank you for the opportunity to win!
There are so many good ones! 🙂
My favorite book in the bible is currently 1 John 🙂
I did a Bible study on 1, 2, and 3 John a couple of summers ago. I really enjoyed it.
Noah and his ark because he built that huge boat and put animals on it. Just because God told him to.
We LOVE the Jesus Storybook Bible in our house! Similar concept, but longer (i.e. it goes over many stories of the Bible in more detail while pointing to the main story).
Sounds like a good one!
I was always excited to find favorites when my kiddos were young.
I never read any bible stories
The gospel of John is a good place to start in the Bible.
I liked to read Little Arch books to my kiddos when they were young. They are simple Bible stories and they rhyme.
Happy day!
