I enjoy the Christmas season.
The lights and colors and hot drinks and pretty packages and nativity scenes and traditions and snacks and family and secrets and whispers and ribbon and tape and Christmas carols~to name just a few elements of the season.
I also enjoy dressing for the season or putting together an outfit that is “Christmasey”!
When my children were small they usually had Christmas outfits. As they’ve gotten older, they don’t quite as much or not in the same way as when I was exclusively picking out their clothes and they didn’t care what they wore. 🙂 My daughter is starting to enjoy picking out something to wear for a holiday or a special occasion. She is growing up.
I’m not a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination. Rather like my home decor style, I like what I like.
But when a group of ladies decided to get together and post outfits for Christmas and some style for the season, I was excited to join in!
Most women enjoy seeing other women’s clothes and outfits. And even though we all have unique styles and tastes, it’s just fun to see other ideas and inspiration.
My daughter did a photo shoot for me and I once again realized I’d rather be the photographer than the model. I think our roles were reversed this time.
So here’s a few photos of one of my favorite outfits all styled for the season.
And go hop around and visit all these ladies and their posts and pretty outfits!

I really love this sweater. It is long and cozy. I like the design and adding my red and white ruffled scarf gives it a pop of Christmas color.
Red has always been one of my favorite colors and I love all the red at Christmastime.
Renae and I have been having fun matching flexis and scarves. They make great scarf clips and are fun to wear.
And of course a flexi for my hair! I haven’t had this flexi very long, but it is one of my favorites.
The Fancy Blossom Dangle!
Love this flexi!
And boots! They are so much warmer when cold temperatures descend! I really love sandals, but I don’t live in a year round warm climate and when it gets cold out, I’m COLD. I wear leggings a lot in the winter and am really loving my fleece leggings from Deborah & Co. They’re always under my skirt and so their style is simply all about keeping me warm! 🙂
{Trying to get some pictures without shivering too much! It was cold out!!!}

Do you have a special Christmas outfit or accessories to add for Christmas?
I definitely “think” red when choosing clothes during the Christmas season. I also like the blues and silvers and the purples and I like to put pink with red.

Great, festive outfit! I love the sweater and scarf especially. 🙂
Me too! I love the ruffled scarves my sister makes, so, so much!!! 🙂
You look so put together, warm, and lovely.
Thank-you for stopping by! I like to be warm when it’s cold out!! 🙂
I totally love the scarf!! What a fun post!
Thanks! I totally love the scarf too! 🙂
Ahh… the Fancy Blossom Dangle… one of my favorite Flexis, too! It’s so pretty! It looks great with your outfit, too!
It’s such a fun flexi!
You look lovely, Deborah!! I love your red scarf and your skirt! It looks very Christmas-y! have one skirt from Cato, and it’s one of my favorites for winter-wear. And that Flexi is beautiful!
Several of my favorite skirts come from Cato.
Deborah, you look great! I love the scarf and flexi clip. What a neat idea. 🙂
Thank-you! It’s fun to mix and match scarves and flexis!
You look lovely! Love the red and white stripes on the scarf 🙂
Thanks~I love the stripey scarf too. It’s good for Christmas and Valentine’s…and any occasion! 🙂
Deborah it made me smile when you talked about your Christmas outfits for your children – we did that for so many years too (matching pajamas too but they don’t like when I bring that up). The scarf with the Flexi is so sweet.
We’ve had some matching p.j.s too. 🙂 They aren’t bothered by it yet. They had a t-shirt and dress last spring that matched. They didn’t wear them together a lot, but we did do pictures. But they’ve just grown up together and do a lot of stuff together.
I loved dressing my babies and toddlers! Just so much fun!
The scarves and flexis are just plain fun!
How fun! Love how festive your outfit looks and it’s so fun the way your flexis and my scarves go so well together!
Love the fun of matching scarves and flexis! 🙂 Fun, fun, fun!!
Red is one of my favorite colors too. Great pictures!
Thanks for dropping by! Red is just so cheery!
Looks festive & cozy! Love that scarf, of course. And I really love that Cato is offering online shopping now! My mom always used to buy my boys matching outfits and they still don’t mind matching but they haven’t had matching Christmas outfits in a while.
What???? How did I miss that Cato has online shopping now? Maybe you shouldn’t have told me! 😉
LOVE the scarf! I have a birthday coming up in a few days…perhaps a birthday gift for me with gift money? I love being able to support small businesses!
I love the scarves too! They’re so fun to wear. The hard part is choosing which color of scarf!
