There was some rearranging and moving of machinery on our farm the other day.
It resulted in my little man getting to leave his schoolwork and go help for a little while. This did not make him sad. Plus, he was still learning, just not reading, writing, or arithmetic. No, he wasn’t learning one of the three “R’s”, but he was learning about a John Deere R. And having fun too.
We think antique tractors are kinda fun. When I stop and think about all the farmers that used to use those tractors for all their farming, well, that sounds like a lot of hard, dusty work. And hot. I should add hot in there.
We don’t have brand new machinery on our farm, but what we do use to do the farming is a lot more comfortable than the R and we are thankful.
We’ll tip our hats to the farmers of yesteryear and continue to enjoy playing with and listening to our antique tractors!
Doesn’t get any better than a youngin drivin a “Classic”
Guess I fit in the category of “yesteryear” cause I drove one of those tractors that go putt-putt! Good pics and looks like they had a good time.
