You’re The Apple Of My Eye

Here’s a fun and simple Valentine treat idea.

I made some of these last year and gave to a few friends.

I love the contrast and the pop it gives the apples.

I saw the idea in a facebook video if I remember correctly.

 

What you need……………..

Red apples

Green or Yellow apples

Small heart-shaped cookie cutter

Clear bags

Tags

Baker’s Twine

Ink pen

 

Use the heart-shaped cutter and carefully cut a heart into the center of the apples. I used a knife to edge around the hearts and pop them out of the apple. Then swap the red heart and green heart creating a contrasting apple.

I stuck the apples inside plastic bags and made tags with the sentiment, “You are the Apple of my Eye”.

I tied up the bags and tags with baker’s twine and they were good to go.

It was a fun and simple project!

The apples would also be cute to use as part of your Valentine decor or Valentine meal. You could put one at everyone’s place as part of a the table setting.

Placing several of them in a basket or bowl together would also be quite fun!
