Showing up around here in our books and yarn categories…….
A little progress on this dishcloth!
Do you use essential oils? I have for several years now. I use Young Living and I really love them. I also highly recommend this Reference Guide. I think there is a mobile version of it available as well. I had my reference out a few times this past week. My husband decided to hit his head on a semi trailer beam and give it a good gouge. It was the head that was gouged, unfortunately. Not the trailer. I’d rather it had been the trailer.
And actually, my man didn’t really DECIDE. It just happened as accidents will.
His head has been rather sore and tender, but it could’ve been much worse. I dumped some tea tree oil on him a couple of times.
I’ve been opening the covers on these books some.
And we watched the movie The Last Brickmaker in America. We enjoyed it!
Do you have any movie recommendations for me? I love getting ideas!
If you’re a wife, if you like to read, if you like fresh inspiration for your marriage, if you want to think about #wifestylin’, then I totally recommend this book. I’m still reading through it. Oh, I’m afraid you probably won’t read this book and automatically always be happy, 😉 but I do always love fresh inspiration in relationships and areas of my life.
I ran into the library and quickly perused the shelves. I’d seen Ruth Soukup’s book Unstuffed around here and there, online, when it released. It was tucked on the library shelf, so I snagged it to give it a read.
Good timing! I’ve been going through and doing some decluttering recently. I’m so happy about this because I’ve actually FINALLY felt like digging a little deeper and doing more than what has HAD to be done. Bending and lifting and climbing up on a stool have been very hard for me and they’re not so much anymore!!! They were harder than I even realized. Anyway, all that to say, Hooray!!! Hooray for increased strength! Hooray for some cleaning put! Hooray for this book!
I read through it pretty quickly. Lots of practical advice interwoven with Ruth’s personal story.
Another home and organization book I really love is Make Room For What You Love by Melissa Micheals.
I started this Word Writers study on James.
I’ve worked through Mercy Triumphs a couple of times. It’s a study on James.
I was excited to go through the Word Writers one and dig into James again. It’s cool to hear different perspectives. AND I really like writing out the word. These studies have a place in the back of the book for you to write out the Bible verses. The Mercy Triumphs study also has that.
I’m really enjoying She Reads Truth. I’m not too far into it yet. Good words though!
{My post about the Open Your Bible study by these authors is over here.}
When I was at the library, I also spied this fun book! I won’t read it word for word, but it looked too fun to browse through it!
A book about Bookshops!!! How fun is that?!
There are Bookish Facts scattered throughout the book and they’re terribly fun.
Here’s one ~
Lord Byron loved dogs. When he became a Cambridge scholar, he was appalled to discover that the university did not permit students to keep dogs in their dorms. So, he rebelled and decided to keep a pet bear called Bruin instead. As there were no rules in the college handbook stating that bears were not allowed, Cambridge had no legal grounds to complain. Byron even joked that he might get Bruin to apply for a college fellowship. ~ from The Bookshop Book
And look at the photo of this bookshop in Italy!!! {swoon} I want to go! 🙂
{Italy is on my list, right here, of places I’d travel to…}
This book keeps showing up! On my island. On the table. On my son’s desk. On the couch.
Tucker’s been immersed in StopMotion and Legos.
My niece pulled this book off the shelf this week and wanted it read to her. She really likes the story of Baby Moses.
My wifestylin’ mug that arrived with my launch team copy of A Wife’s Secret to Happiness. I glued the handle and it’s as good as new! {almost}
I finished this wreath!!
If you are interested in purchasing it, email me. You can use the orange button in my sidebar. Click it and it will pop up easy-peasy with my email.
Renae’s creation!! Aren’t they adorable?
She started out thinking she was knitting dishcloths.
But her projects had a mind of their own and turned into cute and cuddly mitts!
I like the sparkle the silver buttons add.
Oh my! Lots of chatter today! And some things I’ve forgotten, most likely. I’ll often think, “Oh, I should put that in my Yarn Along post,” and then quite promptly forget.
My sister-in-law picked up strawberries for me this week, so I have strawberry jam to make! There’s a truck that brings strawberries from Florida. The strawberries are quite yummy and I’m delighted to have them.
What are your plans for the day? OH, and don’t forget to leave me a movie recommendation or two!! 🙂
