Isn’t it so pretty? All the yarn stuffed and smooshed together. The textures and colors!! {swoon}
I tried another new knitting pattern. You can find it over here at The Sitting Tree on Etsy. I think I messed up a little at the beginning. I’ve been learning some new stitches and steps. I’ve been muttering to myself about pearling and wrapping and turning.
Still, it came out and it was fun to try. I have just the bit of another one begun. The directions are coming together better on my second go-round. Doing is learning!!
I thought if I turned it upside down, it could also pass for an acorn!
I printed out a pattern for a pumpkin, but I don’t know if I will try it very soon. Perhaps I will pull it out for next fall.
I haven’t forsaken my dishcloths! They don’t require much brain power.
This is my children’s pick this week. I will give the Little Golden books a little rest.
I like Arch books, almost as well!
They are such great Bible stories. And I always, always love children’s books that rhyme. They’re just more fun to read. At one point in time, I had The Princess and the Baby almost memorized. I can still quote some of it, but not the whole book!
This was always one of my favorite pictures in the book. I think I related to Miriam, hiding there in the rushes, heart pounding in her chest, wondering what was going to happen!
~READING~
I finished Audacious. I want to start right back in again. I’ve read several books this year that were that way for me. I have re-read a couple. I know I will be picking Audacious up again before too long.
Still relaxing with Anne here and there. And still reading through Boundaries. I am getting close to finishing it. I really agree with a lot of it, but I don’t know if I am particularly good at doing it. Standing up to pushy people, has always been hard for me. Even trying to do it in a nice way. Boundaries has definitely showed me my people-pleasing tendencies. I already knew I had them, but it re-enforced the knowledge. 🙂 I read The Best Yes, by Lysa Terkeurst earlier this year and I really, really love it, too. There are just so many good things in life that you have to say no to sometimes, in order to say yes to the best things.
Last week, Morty showed you three leaves. Now I have five done! They’re so fun.
You can go over to this Happy November post and peek at the first three tucked into my coffee table arrangement!
Here is progress on Renae’s weaving. It’s looking so neat. It’s a good start.
And pretty yarn, because pictures are my passion and I can’t pass up snapping away!

I bought the same leaf pattern and need to dig through my leftover yarn for tidbits to knit up a couple with. Yours turned out really well which inspires me. 🙂
My mother has been making some too, and she commented that the leaves were a great way to use up small bits of leftover yarn! 🙂
Awesome post! Love, love, love those leaves! Thanks for sharing.
Thank-you! I like the leaves, too!
LOVE the leaves. 🙂
Me too! 🙂
I havent made the sitting tree leaves yet but hope to soon! yours look great 🙂
Those knitted leaves are so gorgeous. And the colors are so fun!
Thank-you! I like the colors, too.
Thank-you so much! I’m so appreciative of your leaf inspiration! 🙂
Those leaves are super cute – I love the texture. My girls have that same hair clip – I have a lot of hair so I have it in huge with a butterfly. I should make up some dish clothes. great idea.
Thank-you! I like the leaves, too and I love my flexis!!
I love your description for your size of flexi! 🙂 I don’t have very thick hair, so I use the two smallest sizes. {And of course, have always wished my hair was thicker!}
your leaves are lovely and doing is learning! I never thought of it that way. I have been knitting for many decades and forget those beginning learning days 🙂
I have knitted dishcloths for a lot of years, but have just ventured into new knitting territory recently. 🙂
How fun that you can claim many years of knitting knowledge!
I love love love the leaves! I want to tuck that little wool one in my bag when I go home! And that book – The Princess and the Baby – that was my absolute fav Arch book – I used to be able to quote the whole thing too.
I want to make more of the wool ones and just haven’t taken the time. Other things to do right now!
