What is your biggest challenge or struggle right now?
I like to hear answers to these types of questions when people want to share, but I confess sometimes I have a question, but am unsure of my OWN answer. 😄
Or, in this case, I may find myself thinking, “Narrow it down to one thing?!” Because on any given day it could range from getting out of bed in the morning, {those first five minutes} to a menu for supper to remembering the errands to run, to sitting down to do bookwork, to wondering why there are three jars of Miracle Whip in the pantry, but no BBQ sauce, to an overall overwhelm, to smiling when I want to frown, to deep heartfelt hurts that one doesn’t necessarily bandy around the internet, to physical pain, to emptying out that laundry basket {again} to keeping my gallon pitcher filled with iced tea!
But here’s the truth. We all struggle. Oh, struggles wear different faces in our unique lives, but we all have them. An effortless task to you may be an Everest for me. A favorite chore of mine may come close to choking the life out of you.
I believe that Easy Street is always closed. No one lives life effortlessly all the time. Obstacles and challenges exist in everyday life. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are bigger, some harsher.
Yet, challenges offer us opportunities to learn, to grow, to try.
And they offer something else.
They offer the ability to use what we’ve learned and felt, what we’ve perhaps, cried or quaked over, and take this experience and sling our arm around a friend’s shoulder with empathy and understanding and say, “Why, yes, I’ve felt that too!” Or to show up with cappuccino and chocolate. It’s all rather the same. 😊🍫☕

Friend, here’s what I’m trying to say, “Whatever struggle you’re facing, you are not alone.”
.
“Alone” is an ugly, ugly trick and lie.
.
Mundane molehill. Mighty mountain.
You’ll make it. You’ll make it. It’s worth repeating.
Psalm 119:116 “Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.”

Such truth but Satan would have us believe we are in our struggles alone. Merriest of Christmases to you!
Thank-you for your camaraderie! Wishing you a very delightful Christmas as well!
