My daughter’s father told her she could paint her room in our “new” house any color she wanted. After some deliberation she decided she wanted it to be turquoise. But, she wanted a turquoise blue, not a turquoise green. She had an American Girl book checked out of the library. The back of the book happened to be a turquoise blue color and she liked the shade really well. So, we took the book to the lumber yard and they scanned it and came up with a shade of paint that made my daughter happy.
We have been painting her walls and I think it’s going to turn out really cute. I like it even better than I anticipated. I didn’t think I wouldn’t like it, just like it better than I thought!
A couple of pictures of before and a couple with paint on the walls:
The way the painting’s been so far, the walls in this house must like blue paint! 😉
YAY for pictures! And we like the color:) Emma says she likes the woodwork:) And I love the doors! Glad the blue is going on well – makes the room much prettier:)
I like the doors too!
Love the blue! It makes the room look so bright and cheery!
I think it is really cheery too. It has two windows and they are good size and I think that makes a difference too. I’m looking forward to seeing my daughter’s stuff in the room! Telling myself to just be patient, cause it’s not going to happen overnight.
That’s a great color! I have a similar one in my office called Spaqua and a very muted version in my kitchen called Peaceful. I think it’s cheerful and fun!
And also…bless your heart…painting is a LOT of work!
I’m really liking the color, too! And thanks…painitng IS a lot of work. But, I want it done! 🙂
It’s so pretty and it really brings out the beauty of the wood trim, too!
My older girls have an aqua color on their walls…so pretty!
I thought it really set off the wood trim, too.
