I want to see the baby in the manger, yes, I do,
I want to gaze upon him with a child’s eyes and view,
I want to see him all wrapped up in his swaddling clothes,
I want to gaze upon his little fingers and his toes,
I want to smooth his hair, all downy, soft, and fuzzy,
I want to hold him close to me, all snug, and oh so cuddly,
I want to kiss his cheek, so soft and sweet and smooth,
I want to watch him yawn and blink and watch him stretch and move,
I want to pat his little back and smell his baby smell,
I want to see the baby who doeth all things well.
I want to see the baby, I want Him to dwell in me,
I want to see the baby for He has set me free,
I want to see the baby and be lost in child-like love,
I can’t wait to see the baby and live with Him above!

I started blogging in 2011. At Christmastime I snapped some photos of my {then} small children when we were setting up our Nativity. I put them into a blog post with a poem that flowed from my pen and without having any idea at that particular point in time, a tradition was born.
Today, on Christmas in 2015, I bring the baby before us again. May we always gaze at Him and cling to Him.
That is my deepest prayer and desire for my children and all the children I know and love and all the children everywhere….
To GAZE upon that baby and to let Him LIVE in their hearts and CHANGE their lives

CAN’T wait to see Him!
