We have music for our giveaway today!
{Giveaway over}
And I’m making a list of ten songs I love for Ten on Tuesday.
Some of these have been my favorites for a very long time now. Some of them are recently new-to-me.
I’m a little funny about music. As in, I get stuck on a song or four and listen to them again and again.
I don’t listen to general radio a lot, which, as it happens, tends to cut down on getting introduced to new songs!! Ha! Noise is not top priority on my list and I don’t even have music playing nearly all the time. HOWEVER, I truly believe in the inspiration of good music and think it’s a wonderful way to praise God and defeat the enemy! It’s needful and feeds our souls and is a beautiful way to worship.
I mostly listen to my iPod or cd’s when I do listen to music.
AND I find new music I love in a variety of ways……….through a friend’s recommendation, songs my sister or daughter share with me, from a movie, reading about a favorite blogger’s new favorite song, hearing a song at a church service or at a worship event, a link shared on fb by a friend, a song popping up on YouTube and through the honor and opportunity of reviewing new cds. And occasionally I do listen to the radio!! 😉
Here’s my list for today…………..what would your playlist hold?! I’d love to hear!
1. The Sower’s Song by Andrew Peterson
2. The One He Speaks Through by Mandisa
3. When We’re Together by Mark Harris
4. Greater by Mercy Me
5. No Longer Slaves by Bethel Music
6.Warrior by Steven Curtis Chapman
7. Be Kind to Yourself by Andrew Peterson
8. Victor’s Crown by Travis Cottrell
9. Alive by Travis Cottrell
10. The Blood of Jesus Speaks For Me by Travis Cottrell
On to the giveaway!!!
We have a CD from Nichole Nordeman to give away. Every Mile Mattered.
Here’s a little excerpt from the inside cover ~
“These songs have been working their way into my heart for years, long before they were bound in lyric or melody. They are mile markers. Places I’ve been. Things I’ve seen, and maybe see a little differently now. Every mile on that road mattered. The endless miles of God’s mercy and goodness. Every bump and bruise. The long stretches I’d rather erase. The journey really does change us, or should, anyway. I hope these songs offer grace to any traveler who stumbles into them.”
These songs and music are part of Nichole’s story and art and life and creativity. I’ve begun to believe in all these things more and more deeply as my own journey continues its winding way! My blog is a piece of my story, teaching me this lesson.
I am grateful to hear other people’s stories and relate to pieces of them and pull out my own bits and threads of inspiration to weave into my particular, unique story.
These songs are a beautiful telling!
Nichole has a book SLOW DOWN coming out in August. It’s available for pre-order now. Find it on Amazon here.

{I have so noticed a theme the last couple of years of people, of women, of mamas reaching for slower days and embracing time and moments. I agree. I think it’s important, though I have no simple solution to make it happen.}
Enter the giveaway, friends!!……….and may you have a few moments, TODAY, to slow down and savor some beautiful music!
