I like both.
Most of these books have appeared on my blog or Instagram or Instagram stories at least once or more than once or more than more than once!!!! 😉
Today, I’m pulling them together to create a post of favorites of mine about home! These books and this list make me smile and shout out happy! They’re pretty books. They’re fun books. They inspire me in my hobby/habit/love of creating cozy home.
Scroll through! And let me know if you have a favorite book about home! I’m always up for suggestions OR if we share a favorite, to get excited and say, “Yay! You too?” There’s something so lovely about sharing a mutual interest.

Home decor is Myquillyn Smith’s passion and I love this book of hers. I like her sense of humor and the way she shares what she’s learned over her years of decorating and creating home and living in a LOT of different houses. I also absolutely loved the byline of this book the first time I read it and I still love it!
“It Doesn’t Have To Be Perfect To Be Beautiful”
I think I resonate with it so much because I NEVER do anything perfectly. I’m messy and clumsy at times, I often have ideas but not the skill. I definitely have a critical eye when it comes to my own projects. Yet, I’ve learned to embrace the beauty in imperfections and seek out everyday beauty and realize imperfections are part of humanness and living life!

Oh, this book is so pretty and filled with gorgeous photos and ideas. I partly love home books because home is such a big part of our lives and our stories and it’s fun to get a glimpse of what inspires other people and what I can glean from it to use in my home!
There’s also an Inspired Room coloring book and I love it too!

The byline for this book is “Simple Ways to…Embrace Your Style *Get Organized *Delight in Where You Are.”
Melissa Michaels has lived in several different homes and she brings us words and ideas to help us love our space and love the home we have, even when everything about it, most likely, isn’t completely perfect!

These books are fun. They aren’t very big books, but they offer perfect tips and inspiration to organize or re-organize and streamline your space. I love the pictures and I love that you can easily pick it up and read a page quickly.

I love the words of Sally Clarkson and her intentional framework for creating a home sanctuary. Yet, I also love her openness to sharing that by no means did it always play out perfectly.

THIS book! So fun! KariAnne Wood is full of contagious enthusiasm and I love her style of writing and her style in sharing home decor. This book is another awesome one for planning and finding YOUR unique style. It has pages to keep notes and make notes and find the color palettes that make you happy. It has a page to try out furniture placement and lots of tips about light and lighting and it’s just plain chock-full of good stuff!

This book by Emilie Barnes was one of the first books I ever had about home and adding special touches and noticing the lovely little things of everyday. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Another wonderful book from Sally Clarkson! {in my opinion!} Sally shares about the blessing of food and preparing and offering meals to our families and gathering around the table together. It made me grateful for my mother and grandmother who both excelled at nurturing their families with countless meals and fun treats.
