Have you ever noticed that when someone is excited about something they often want to share it or talk about it?
Have you ever felt that way about something?
I know I have and can and do.
I also know that just because something has made a big impact on me, it isn’t necessarily going to hit everyone else that way or be the right timing or strike a chord with them.
All that being said, today I’m posting and praising and prattling about seven books I’ve read this year that I really, really love and I sorta just want to pass out to people!
Some of them, because I was inspired, some of them because they just make me laugh, some of them because I really resonate with the heart of their words. Honestly, they all pretty much fall into all three categories, just some more heavily into one category or another.
Oh, I take that back. About reading them all this year. Five of them I read this year; two of them I read last year. At least I think it was last year. Last year or the year before that. Time moves so swiftly and I can’t remember for sure what year they came out.
Here’s my list in no particular order~

I really liked all of them and would like to have them all on my own bookshelf eventually.

On to the books I’m thinking about right now…………..
The title says it all. For quite a while my heart has been touched with growing in gratitude and I was happy to finally read this book and totally enjoyed the teachings and message!
A Little Salty to Cut the Sweet
What can I say? One of the most fun books, EVER!
BooMama‘s book makes me laugh and makes me embrace the fun of family and memories.
The Surprising Secrets of Highly Happy Marriages
I love this book.
I like to read books about marriage, since I’m married and I like to read and all. I have several favorite marriage books and I started putting together a post just chatting about marriage books. {To post someday.} {In the future.} {A.K.A when I get it done.}
I love this book and I love all Shaunti’s research and statistics. {How do you spell statistics anyway?!! Good ole spellcheck! I want to throw in an extra s or something weird like that. I used to very rarely struggle with spelling, but it doesn’t come as easily anymore for some odd reason.}
I’ve loved this book, but for some strange reason, {speaking of struggling}, for the life of me, I mess up the name of the title every time and can not seem to remember what it is called! I want to call it The Seven Secrets of Highly Happy Marriages or Seven Secrets to Happy Marriages. I have no idea why I want to add that seven or want to say “to” instead of “of”. NO IDEA!!!
It Doesn’t Have to Be Perfect to Be Beautiful.
Ah! With a byline like that, how can you go wrong?!
I’ve not read The Nester’s blog a lot, but I’ve known about it for a long time and I absolutely love her book. It’s fun to read, it’s so pretty and it just looks cute laying on your coffee table or chair or nightstand, and I related to a lot of the things she says.
Her style of home decor and my style of home decor are vastly different, but I love the heart of her book and the heart of creating home for yourself and for people you love. It made me more aware of how much I do love creating home and little things I’ve learned over my years as a homemaker. I found myself nodding in agreement with different things Myquillyn would talk about, “Yep, I’ve learned that over the years too. Yep, I relate!”
Dave Ramsey and his daughter, Rachel Cruze wrote this engaging book. I like reading books about money and finances and I like the values the Ramseys present along with their wise words about money, money, money!
I like how they view money as a tool and what we have belongs to God and I like their emphasis on giving to others and to those in need.
The Antelope in the Living Room
and
Laughter. We need laughter in life.
Melanie Shankle is really great at making me laugh. I started reading her words over at her blog and I still think of her as Big Mama, more than I think of her as Melanie Shankle. Her books are so, so much fun. I do believe she is currently working on her third book.
Alrighty then, there you have it! My book report{s}…………….
Have you read any of them?
What favorite books have you found recently or re-read or though about? Inspire me with your titles. I love picking up reading ideas from other people and from blogs.
Money Saving Mom and Modern Mrs. Darcy are both places that I’ve enjoyed checking out their posts about books they have read or are reading.
{And I’m hoooooooooping to do a book giveaway before too long. We’ll see.}
{All opinions in this post are my own. ALL MY OWN. No authors paid me or asked me to write about their books. The authors have no idea who I even am. Just another reader of their books. I just wanted to write about them. Because I love them. And sometimes I just want ramble about books I like. And sometimes it is fun to write a silly, unessential disclosure.}

I love Big Mama’s books! so funny 🙂 And The Nester’s book makes my top 3 favorites I’m sure. Maybe by all-time favorite ever. Loved it. It’s a home decor book and yet it’s almost a devotional. Can’t sey enough good about it! And Boo Mama! She’s good for many a laugh too!
