“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living. It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.” ~ Dr. Seuss
Ah, yes, Dr. Seuss, I so much agree. We must keep an eye out for things fun and funny,
Life takes a toll, with demands, cares and not-funs,
So the dreams and pretends we must snag when they do come!
The simplest of things that add to our day, Are cause for excitement and happy yay-yays!
The everyday beauty we spy right at Walmart,
that cute chubby baby in the front of the shopping cart,
viewing a polar bear through glass at the zoo,
a letter with stickers and addressed right to you!
Wheat fields of wheat, even though rather short,
Laughing and laughing till you wheeze and you snort,
Hang upside down to see a new view, and look at the world as it passes by you!
Slide down the slide, slurp the last bit of ice cream, cartwheel and spin, then sit, think and daydream!
Whatever it is that brings you the happies,
give thanks and big smiles, be it silly or sappy!
For all of these littles add spice to our lives, and a place where our hopes and our dreams get to thrive!
Be it waffles and syrup or poptarts from the box, a new tube of chapstick or new ankle socks,
whatever added delight to your day, deserves a Ta-Da and a big Hip-Hooray!!!
How did it get so late so soon? It’s night before it’s afternoon. December is here before it’s June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon? ~ Dr. Seuss
And here’s the thing, Friend Dr. Seuss,
I quite, I quite agrees with youse,
I find it’s June and golden wheat,
and I declare that just last week,
was when we dusted in the seed.
So, tell me, tell me if you know,
how have the weeks flewn by quite so?
Each month flips on, the days march by,
whirl-twirl, and here’s I,
awondering that it is June!
How did it get this late this soon?
