My Spin On 2016 Best Nine ⋆ A Delightful Glow

If you are on Instagram, you may have seen #2016bestnine posted. Something about these nine squares fitted into one square fascinate me. I love to look at them. You can go to the site 2016bestnine.com and input your Instagram name and it will give you “your best nine”. Your best nine are calculated by the pictures that were the most popular and had the most “likes” on IG.

That is interesting, but doesn’t pull me in nearly as much as just the essence of the pulling together the memories from the year. Last year and this year, I took “bestnine” and put my own spin on it.

I went through and chose some of my own favorites and made my own collages. I shared them on IG over the last couple weeks of December.

I’m going to share them here and share the words I wrote on Instagram to go with my family and farm collage!

Aren’t pictures a gift? They mold minutes into memories, time into treasure, everyday becomes extraordinary.
They preserve fun that I would forget into precious frames.
They tell our stories and show our days and seize onto the smiles and the simple. They lock laughter into our lives.

Posed. Unposed. Candid. Silly. Beautiful. Messy. Stunning. Hilarious.

I think God has a memory book, a scrapbook for each of us. Someday the scraps and the mess will mesh together and make sense to us. All mingled there with the beautiful of our lives and we’ll flip the pages and see. We’ll see how He was bringing it all to pass and playing it all out and always pursuing us because He knew the plans He had and He knew He could keep pulling beauty out of any ashes as each page of our story turned. This earth is His footstool, yet He misses not a thing happening here on this whirling-twirling globe.

Only a few days left of 2016, as we mark time.
Me? I’m thankful-grateful right down to my toes for pictures and story. And I’m glad He’s writing mine.
