This is my pouffe!!!!!!!!!!!
If the exclamation marks were any indication, I LOVE my pouffe.
SO MUCH.
My sister makes them.
Go here and here to see a couple of Union Jack pouffes she’s made.
You can go here to buy the pattern if you’d like to make your own.
I’ve seen different pouffes she’s made, mostly in pictures on her blog versus in real life. I’ve always thought they were super-cute and I thought it looked fun to have one. It was one of those things I’d think about now and then and she and I would talk about now and then, and then I’d sort of forget about it as daily life went on and happened and was lived and so on and so forth.
Then, she gave me one as a birthday present.
I brought it home with me when we came home from Ohio in August.
{Loved my model for my pouffe photos.} {I had fun taking a few minutes one afternoon to shoot these photos.}
I loved the look and idea of them, but I have loved having one even more than I thought I would. It makes such a handy dandy foot rest, it looks adorable, it is light weight and easy to move around, {a plus, when you are slow and still thinking about your back and things like that} and it makes a nice little chair on occasion. {Although this mama can be a bit fussy about how her pouffe is treated at times. Ahem.}
I just love it. I’m still excited about it. We have an ottoman in our living room, but there have been several times I’ve thought it would be nice to have another footstool or footrest of some kind.
Miss Pouffe has been the perfect solution for us!
I think I could easily dot a few more throughout my living room and house! Maybe my sister will have some spares sometime! 😉
Makes me happy!

So very pretty and functional too! Your sister is very talented!
I love the pouffes, too. And the pics of yours are the greatest. Love the guy who did the modeling.
So glad you love it so much! It looks so great in your house 🙂
I have to be honest, I really didn’t care for the pouffes. They reminded me of pumpkins I made one year. I sold them to anyone who wanted to buy one, and gave them as gifts to family.
I had a lot of fun making them. I’ve always been a little creative & a little analytical; if I could see it and have time to study it, I could probably make a version of it. When I see something new like this, I just know she had fun creating it.
Thanks for the idea. When people ask you what you like most; and what do you collect?
A lot of years ago I began to give this considerable thought. Since I collected everything…which was my favorite? And what I realized was…I loved my very large collection of ideas. And since then, ‘Ideas’ is still my favorite. Thank you for sharing yours.
Gratefully Yours,
Betty Ellis
The pumpkins sound fun! I’ve seen some really cute pumpkins people have made and some for sale. The ones for sale have always been out of my price range, but I think they’d be really adorable for fall decor.
