I have a new clothes pin apron and it makes me happy.
I’d been wanting a new one. My old one had had some issues in the form of some holes that had worn through. It had been very serviceable for many years.
I also had this wish for a cute clothes pin apron.
Somehow it is more fun to me to use something when I perceive it as pretty. I don’t have the touch for DIY projects or home decor that some women are blessed with. However, I do appreciate beauty and I like what I like.
So, I hopped over to Etsy and came across some cute clothes pin aprons. Thanks to this shop, I found me a pretty, new carrier for clothespins. Happy!
If you pop over to Etsy, you should definitely go poke around my sister’s shop that recently opened. She has a lot of pretty stuff. She is a major do-it-yourselfer. {She got ALL of that talent, which is why I have none. It works out though, cause I just let her do stuff for me. hee-hee.}
I’m really loving it. I am super happy with the way it fits. I like a clothespin apron for convenience, but I’ve never loved the look of wearing one. [Since so many people see me when I’m hanging out laundry.] But still-I didn’t love the look. This one is shorter I think, and it fits me better. I like it much better. Plus, it’s cute, That counts, you know. The burlap gives it more of a shape and is thicker and I think that’s part of the difference.
My son saw me throw the old one out and he was confused. He couldn’t figure out why I was getting rid of the old one. He thought it looked much better than the new one. He thought the new one looked old, as in old-fashioned and he didn’t really like the ruffles. I had a good little chuckle over his opinions. Male-female differences, maybe? I much prefer my new one!! I told him he could have the old one to use someday.
What is something that you use frequently and love for its beauty?

Oh yes, I got ALL the talent and you got none. Pish-posh, hogwash. I just happen to like creating things!
The clothes pin bag is cute and looks like it would be a better fit than the old one. And your son just cracks me up! Wonder where in the world he got his dislike of ruffles??!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pretty sure you got all the talent! 😉
Hmmm…I WONDER where the dislike of ruffles could have come from??
I agree with you, this apron is sooooo cute! Wishin’ I had a clothes line! I always wanted to get some of those 30’s-50’s style dresses the women always wore to clean the house, thought that would be fun….
I’m really glad for my clothesline most days! Sometimes I want to be lazy and just throw stuff in the dryer. 🙂
I’m betting you could find something similiar to the 30’s-50’s style dresses on etsy!
I love your new apron. Isn’t Etsy fun for finding just the thing you are looking for? I have a soft spot for vintage aprons and love that your new one is so useful.
Etsy is fun for finding. That’s one of my favorite things about the whole internet world-being able to hunt and find unique things!
Thanks for stopping by!
