I’m so happy to have flowerpots on my porch this year! I’ve been enjoying them. Last year, I didn’t feel good and couldn’t water them or even really get anything for the porch. We had some hanging pots and a couple out by the old garage, but that was more than enough to keep watered.
I went out to snap some pics of my flowers and porch and Cooper came trotting along and jumped up to pose. He was so funny. I’m convinced he knew what he was doing. He’d sit there and look at me and pose perfectly and then gaze off in another direction, then look back, then move to a different pose. 🙂
Perfect Puppy Pose.
I’ll just take a little rest. Posing is hard work.
You still there? I can pose some more!
{Renae has been wearing hairsticks some and I think they’re darling on her! 🙂 You can find them over here at my Lilla Rose.} These kittens are some of the darlingest we’ve had for a long time, too! More photos I want to post soon.
I was thrilled to find these darling stamps at our local post office! I’ve been inspired by happy mail recently, and these have happy mail written all over them! {It just looks like they say from me to you. 😉 } {And obviously I am stuck on the word, darling in this post.}
It’s just not every day that you can say, “There’s a hippopotamus sitting in my chair.” Dare I say that it’s darling?
I pulled out this bowl for my mixer. You store it in the freezer or stick it in overnight and then you’re set to make a batch of homemade ice cream with it! Mmmmm! Chocolate ice cream before bedtime snack. {Darling of course.}
I hadn’t used it for a long time. It also had me musing about the last year and looking back at how much I’ve done just what had to be done and how nice it is to do extras because I want to or it’s something I enjoy. I also thought about that there’s a lotta things I’ve forgotten about or simply not cared about in the last year.
Harvest started! It’s in full swing.
{Somehow I just can’t pull off calling my man’s farm machinery as darling.}
My cousin and her family are here visiting.
Lots going on ~ harvest, food, activity!
{ And darling little boys to take pics of. }
Several things hitting all at once here in blogland, too!
Don’t miss this Summer Blessings giveaway, if you didn’t see it! It’s a great one!

We attended the funeral of an older neighbor. We had a get-together with some other cousins who were visiting. I won a giveaway from For the Love of Our Husbands for a gift certificate to Union 28 marriage apparel. Totally stoked! I was excited to get an e-mail announcing that I was on the launch team for Emily Freeman’s new book, Simply Tuesday.
Matthew planted milo and was glad for the help of my cousin’s husband. Finished getting ready for harvest and we are glad to start cutting and hauling the grain in.
Day to day stuff and it’s all sort of washed and run together this week!
Have a great new one!
{Cooper would like me to add that he is a bit of a darling himself.}

Darling post!!!! Hehe! That table full of younguns looks fun, ambitious, and energetic. Your porch is so pretty and Cooper is an amazing model.
He’s really just pretty darling, isn’t he?! I’ve been enjoying my porch so much. Makes me think a bit of the front of Grandma B’s house, although I don’t know why, because it wasn’t a porch. Just something about the flowers I guess!
